I wouldn't max out Storm's yellow. It's too situational to rely on, whereas the green and especially blue are guaranteed whoppers.

Not only do they get random Team Ups, they don't even have to play by any discernible rule that you must when actively playing.

On the other hand, that would mean you get a better shot when being attacked in PvP.

I shouldn't have really suggested shield hoping. You need to have a pretty "fast" team available in order to shield hop properly. It also requires having a "scary" enough team that you don't get decimated once you hit 700+ points. You basically put on 3 hour shields once you get to around 800-900 points. Line up 2-3 higher point matches beforehand, break your shield and win the two matches as quickly as possible (using boosts is a must). Then shield as soon as possible after your 2nd match and view your overall rank (that will refresh the fact that you have a shield on sooner so you stay out of other people's queue). Wait a couple hours and repeat. Once you hit 1000 points, I would stick to 1 match between shields just because you become such a huge target to others and you can see daylight for the 1100 progression reward. This will cost more HP than you would normally be comfortable with, but it gives you a much better chance to get a 3* cover you want and is still cheaper than the 10-packs.

I believe it is random amoung what that person has, but I am not 100% sure.

God these team-ups are just complete bullshit. I'm dying or at least losing a ton more hitpoints on a regular basis now. I wish I could stop playing this damn game.

Are people on the developers forum going apeshit over this change? I can't imagine how they aren't.

I don't mind the team ups but I think it helps that I have level 166 characters. I imagine it's a lot more painful getting hit by a level 5 power of a three star character if your team is made up of 2 star characters.

Number one thing they need to fix not being able to discard team up cards. Half of mine are Magnito cards and I can't use them because he's always part of my team. Better yet, allow us to trade them with members of the Alliance.

Has anyone ever spent HP to gain a level in a cover? I'm so tempted to drop 1,250 on the 5th green power of my Grey BW because that will triple its power by affecting all opponents. It would be devastating with her maxed purple, even on defense.

I'm definitely not liking this Team-Up shit. I was hit with World Rupture 3 fucking times in 1 match. I can't really believe that the 3 randoms generated by the computer all just happened to be rupture.

Also, I had several matches where I was cruising through with minimal damage, only to be hit with a Supernova by a nearly dead weak character.

I'm also getting tired of having to take the time to choose the Team-ups before every match.

I did it for the first time yesterday to level up Patch's yellow power. I'm tempted to do it again once I get enough HP. One more level in yellow and I can max him out.

The Grey BW green power is nice but she's a real pushover in PvP matches. I always fight anyone who has a Grey BW on their team. She doesn't have a lot of hit points and it takes forever to power up her skills. I could level her up all the way if I wanted to but I can't find a good excuse to use her instead of the Punisher of Hulk.

Most seem to say that buying powers isn't worth it, unless it's a big jump in power (some 4* to 5*, but then you risk not being able to use a drop since you'll have maxed out). I don't think buying 2* powers is worth it because you'll be swimming in those covers eventually, but to me, buying 3* powers is fine as long as it's a character you're going to use (and who won't be nerfed soon).

I guarantee you the second you buy a power the next five covers you get will be for that power just to spite you. Just be patient, don't waste precious hero points. I got an extra captain marvel cover just because I had enough points to buy health packs in the last minutes of the event and pushed myself over the top. Save them for stuff like that.

You would have earned a Team-Up but your inventory is full. Use some of your Team-Ups to make Room.

Would that I Could! My inventory is full of shit-tier hawkeye and derivations there-of and I can't get a team to survive long enough against me to use any of them but even though they don't get enough points either they sure can supernova me! Buggy piece of crap.

Looking at the dev forums, the fact that enemies can use team ups of characters active on their team is a bug and will be fixed in the next patch.

We are currently full. Someone would have to leave to let you in and I'm not sure anyone is quite burned out enough for that just yet.

I've been cranking on this Deadpool event as much as I can, even managed to pull a Hood cover to do those essential bouts. However I used up most of my heals on the Captain America event, so I can't grind as much as I want. Still, I'm determined to get at least one Deadpool cover. I want to drop whales on folks, ya know?

Also, the devs need to balance these team up mechanics right quick. Even if I focus on matching team up tiles, the most I've been able to use in a single match is one team up, whereas the enemy teams never use less than one and often get in two or all three. Add to that the fact that they can currently use powers fr active characters on the team and it's really fucked up.

currently 1st in the wolvie event. i haven't been attacked in hours. trying to debate on keep on going or to put up a shield. i'm about 45 points ahead of the 2nd place guy.

fuck it. i did a shield with 10 minutes left. i'm 68 points ahead of the next guy. nobody seems to moving any, but i didn't want to chance it. i'll gladly take all 4 covers and all the other rewards.

I had 27 hours worth of shields on this event and there was only one notice I was attacked with it on. I unshielded with 12 minutes left and beat 3 opponents to go from #31 to #19 (landing on #25 twice in between) to secure 2 3*Thor covers. Happy with that.

Came in 8th, very happy with that. Got two thor covers, 100 hp and 2k iso. Just need to win some deadpool!
