Man, if I didn't have a full 60G launch ps3, and no desire to touch it out of fear of it breaking I would've been all over that PS+ for $30.

I had to try 7-10 times to get my PS Plus extension from Amazon to take this morning. I'm now good until Feb 2018.
I'm also giving some serious thought to the "Playstation Protection Plan". I'm not normally a fan of extended warranty plans, but I'm also not normally a fan of purchasing launch consoles. $50 for an extra two years seems like a decent investment in peace of mind.

I read that Killzone has a new update which patches the difficulty of a few sections in Chapters 7 and 8. Supposedly, they made the end of 7 shorter and raised the collision ceiling in 8. I've already done both of those. I guess it'll make it easier if I decide to replay the game on the hard difficulty.

The instructions from Amazon specified the PS Store on PS3, and I tried it there a few times. I think I finally got it to go through on PS4 though. That was at about 0830-0900 this morning.

Relax lady, I'm pretty sure it's still in its first 30 days!I'm thinking about it too. Already had one go south and maybe it's worth the extra $50 in case another one dies. Not sure if it covers the controller as well, but that's a consideration.

I had to return one of my PS4 controllers to Gamestop for another one. There were these little spots coming up on my controller like the laminate was being eaten. Has anyone else seen this? Is there anything that could be in the air causing this?

yep...I just grabbed the 1yr PSN on Amazon as well so I'm good till this time in 2015. So that means I am committed to Destiny, The Division, The Order:1886, infamous: Second Son, Planetside 2 and of course Diablo:Reaper of Souls.

My God, GAF is incredible sometime...

Yeah, they disabled the use of any codes for now. A mixture of the UK launch and the big discount on PS+ today crashed the entire thing.

"We're terribly sorry. Due to a massive influx of traffic this function is temporarily disabled. Please try again later." This is the message that customers should get when trying to enter these codes. Why is that not happening?
A notification on a blog that most of these customers will never see is woefully insufficient. I find the customer service failure to be worse than the network failure.

managed to grab a console with extra controller bundle from Target.com yesterday, hopefully by the time it comes the PS network issues are all better.
I have playstation plus and will be borrowing Assassin's Creed 4 from my brother in the beginning.
Still need to finish Bioshock Infinite if they ever fix their game-breaking "update" so the PS3 will still be in the entertainment center.
