I've never heard of My Time at Portia. You must have really liked it!

It's similar to Stardew Valley, except you build machines and you have to gather and craft materials. I haven't even finished it yet. I took a break after I realized I put in over 100 hours.

Gaming took a backseat this year for me. I did however spend most of my time playing 2018 games.

If it's anything like the switch version, half that time was spent on loading screens.

It's not that bad on the PS4.

^ How the hell did you spend 99 hours playing Spider-Man? HowLongToBeat lists 32.5 hours for a Completionist..

And Deadpool has a 15 hour Completionist time!

DLC probably adds another 10 or so.

Also leaving a game paused would do it.

I have like 50 hours on my PC, 5 hours on my PS4, 30 minutes on my Xbox One and about 400 on my Switch this year.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

For Spider-Man, I did do the DLC, but also my kids were playing it a lot on my account, and they would just swing around town and do dumb stuff like just stand on top of cars and wait for them to drive around (which is really boring, as the cars don't really do much of anything when you stop to watch). They seemed to think that it was a much more interesting open world game than it actually was.

For Deadpool, I am a completionist and a trophy whore, but I made the mistake of starting on Ultra Violence difficulty, because I knew I had to get all the difficulty trophies and they stack. What I didn't realize is that you can unlock all the upgrades on a lower level, and then start the higher difficulty fully upgraded, which would have made it a lot easier. So I spent way too much time beating the game, dying, and pounding my head against the wall on Ultra-Violence difficulty on my first playthrough.

My kids also just swing around the city and do random stuff in Spider-Man. I'm sure that accounts for a lot of my 75 hours.

I had like 20 hours on my Switch. Just curious, are you mostly playing Switch on the TV, in handheld mode at home, or on the go? And are you playing multi-system games on the Switch because I almost never get those on the Switch due to performance issues with the Switch versions.

Almost entirely handheld. I don't think I've seen Link's Awakening in Docked mode yet

I play a lot of Tetris 99 which is a solid chunk of that time (weird I know)

Days Gone was the only (new) PS4 game I played all of last year. (We did play Rock Band Rivals a bit too.) I'm definitely expecting the story to be different this year.

Me, too. I think I have used the hand held mode maybe a combined two hours and I’ve had my Switch at least two years now.

I had 16hrs on the PS4 and over 178hrs on the Switch. Switch was a good mixture of docked, handheld while traveling as well as handheld at home. By far my favorite system of all time.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Committing myself to Monster Hunter: World definitely added a ton of hours onto my PS4 that I didn't have last year.

I also used Dreams as a teaching tool in the Studio Art & Graphic Design classes I teach, so that explains why even in Beta I spent a lot of time with it.

18 Different Games

Monster Hunter World: 105 hours
Dreams: 32 hours
Marvel's Spider-Man: 31 hours

372 hours of gameplay

I'm hoping to have some time with the kids to play some Goat Simulator tomorrow afternoon. I think they're going to love it!

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

February's Free Playstation Plus Games are Bioshock: The Collection, The Sims 4, and Firewall Zero Hour (VR Required). I bought Bioshock: The Collection when it was on sale in December.... I guess I'll add it to the yard sale stack.

I've played all the Bioshock games, none of the DLCs though. I'm down for another playthrough. The other two I've never played, but will definitely give them a go.

I might start playing Bioshock after I finish Days Gone. I played it some years ago on my X-box 360. I don't think I came close to finishing it though.

Of course the Sims 4 is free, because I just bought it for my daughter for Christmas.
