re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

- I have Just Cause 2 on Steam. I'll give that a try and see if I like it.

- I had Assassin's Creed Black Flag and Rogue on PS3 and never finished them.

- What bothered me the most about FC2 and 3 was all that driving around and the fact that when you died, you always ended up in some shack instead of at the spot/close to where you died. And I don't remember if that was in 2 or 3, but you had to climb towers to unlock parts of the map. After two, I was already fed up. Anyway, I might check out 4 when used copies are around $20.

Is the PS4 your only current gen console? Have you been playing the rest of your games on PC? Might give people an idea of if you're playing mostly Playstation or console exclusive games.

There's plenty of driving, and flying(think squirrel suit), hangliding, rock climbing and ziplining. The map is huge, gotta get around somehow. However after you complete certain areas you can fast travel/teleport to them.

That is still the case in FC4.

That's how FC4 works.

I love the creativity it offers with the tethers and all the different ways to string together impossibly colossal explosions.
Sounds like things haven't changed much from JC2, which I played over the summer.

It was fun, but the places you needed to clear out were so repetitive. I'm just glad you only needed to do 75% for the platinum. 100% in that game would have been a nightmare.

Ugh I finally ran out of space on my 2TB. Clearing up space but how does Netflix take over a gig?

Just tried again right now and nope. All my purchased games that aren't downloaded do not have the option to be put in folders.

? Mine are. I just went to the "library" section, and pressed option on any game I wanted to highlight, and a folder option pops up just fine, downloaded game or not.

Wow. Thanks for the info. The PS3 wasn't this way, was it?

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Spent all morning sorting games. Made a folder for downloadable games. Then realized, as Hillary would say, that over half my games fell into a basket of downlaodables. I'm now wondering if I should just delete the folder -- it doesn't serve much of a purpose. I will keep the PS2 Game folder and the Full PS4 Games folders regardless (as well as the beloved Pinball folder).

Most (all?) PS3 games did a partial install, but they didn't routinely copy the entire game to the hard drive the way the PS4 does.

Yeah, PS3 was JUST the updates, since not everyone had an entire game installed, all you needed was the size of the update which would later install itself into the game info, but there were a few that needed extra space to install.

The PS3 updates needed more than the size of the update itself because it had to unpack and install the update... I remember the updates being ridiculous... no?

Not working for me. When i press options on a game in my library it doesn't bring up anything unless I've downloaded it.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Unfortunately my Gold Wireless Headset died after having problems with the power switch for a few weeks now. Anyway, since resetting it didn't help at all, I finally admitted defeat and bought another Gold Headset.
At least they're cheaper this week, on sale for $72.53 at both Wal-Mart and Amazon.

I read that there's an upgraded Platnum Headset coming in November for $150, but couldn't justify paying twice as much for better 3D audio and upgraded components.

I wouldn't pay more than $50 for those gold wireless
Very cheaply made
had them break at the hinges on both sides (now being held together with duct tape) and I am very gentle with mine

I've heard not to be vent bother folding those headsets, since that's where they break.

That's what I recall. Essentially double the size of the update/install file. Certainly not needing free space equal to the full game already installed, though. I've always had my PS3 pretty full and never ran into an issue with updates/patches. The PS4 though? Running into space limitations with just the updates. Now that I know, it'll be easy to keep the space available.

Same here. Can't add games that I have not downloaded or installed (disc based) to a folder.

You guys are going to the Purchased tab on the left and trying to create folder for a game you don't have currently installed and it works? Thanks

I was going to group all the demos/betas into one folder to unclutter the purchased tab a little bit but does not work.

I was going to do that too, except it doesn't actually move anything in the Library, so it would be pointless for me.

They really need to get on the ball with adding the ability of hiding that stuff.

Works for me. From the "library" section, I press "option" on a game (any game) and it lets me add it to an existing folder or create a new one. I only did two folders, one for downloaded games and one for media, like media servers and so. I did do folders for all the disc-based games (one for shooters, one for fighters, etc), but realized it was pointless since they come up when I just pop in the disc, so I got rid of all those folders.

What does completed mean?

You are probably in the "all" section of the library. The first line under search on the left. This is all of your installed games. If you go to the "purchased" line, and choose a game not installed or downloaded, I don't think it will work.

I guess all my disc games are installed then.

Here's a trick; try downloading and/or installing a game, put it in a folder then uninstall it's content. It should remain in the folder - I just did it with a game.
