Re: Watch Dogs

Anyone notice the crime profiler typically always locates black people and Asians that commit crimes

Also the fixer missions for the most part suck ass.

I love the game, but at this point, I just want it to be over.

Re: Watch Dogs

patch finally helped with my issues

I'm now able to raise blockers and bridges and break into vehicles without tripping alarms, abilities I had early on but were lost
and can invade/hack or be invaded/hacked by others, another ability that I had but was lost

too bad I finished the story without those abilities

Re: Watch Dogs

I haven't progressed too far into the actual storyline.. I think I'm in act 2 and done a couple missions. I've tried to do all the side stuff that I can. A good amount of things seem to be missing from the map.. I'm assuming, at this point, that they show up later in the game?

I've got all the towers unlocked so I can have ctOS connection anywhere I go. I'm missing things like 1 package mission where you find a package hidden in a garage. Missing some burner phone missions, other side mission stuff like that.

I haven't seen any of the Human trafficking missions.. I did complete all the gang hideouts.. The Fixer contracts and others are frustrating at times, so I am doing those slowly.

The couple times I tried to do a story mission and got a "locked out" message and then it made me do an online message are so damn annoying. The 2 times its happened to me, I can never find the people in time.. and another one, I found the person but he managed to get in a vehicle quick, before I realized what was happening, and proceed to drive all over until it just timed out because I didn't kill him in time. What an annoying feature to have in the game. I'm probably not going to 100% the game because at this point I don't feel like doing any of the online stuff. Each time I get a request for an online mission, I'm assuming from people randomly looking for people, I just ignore them and don't accept.

I quickly disabled the ability to be invaded..it was fun at first then just took away from the game..

Re: Watch Dogs

Thanks. that makes sense.. I finished up the QR codes that I had left.. I think I'm at 17/20 done.

Everything else was done as much as I could in my game as there were no more side missions. I did some more of the campaign mission and got the barracks location unlocked and the underground store. No more new side missions.. so I'll keep plugging along for now.

For the most part I'm enjoying the game.. Some of the QR codes are challenging, but I like the challenge of figuring out how to see the whole image.

Re: Watch Dogs

Yeah.. some of the things it says about people are funny.

I got to part way through Act 3.

Got the last of the side mission stuff I was missing. Finished QR codes, weapons cache, human trafficking, etc.

The only one I need to do is the last 2 Song Sneak ones where you find a person listening to music on their phone. You need 23 total and I'm at 21. Then I have to keep chugging away at the Fixer contracts and Convoy ones to finish all of those missions.

Re: Watch Dogs

I like the game but I do not love it. However, after thinking about it for awhile I hope that in the inevitable next game they go away from allocating skill points in the game to having it based on your actual experience in game doing those things. As far as your hacking skills go, they can set up a variety of low level activities where your character actually learns how to hack if those skills are not already assumed to be there with the next character.

Use your Song Seek app at the newsstands at Navy pier. You might get the last few songs you're missing that way.

What I want from the next Watch Dogs is making Hacking more of a challenge and not a simple button press. The economy is so bad in this game It's ridiculously easy to steal so much money so quickly.

No doubt....

I haven't unlocked the hacking skill that gets you more money from ATMs yet. I don't need it to be honest.

I've bought every weapon and have no shortage of money.. I think I have like 650k on me at the moment. There was one stretch last night where I was trying for songs, so I was hacking every blue person that I could.. when I finally went to the ATM, it said I withdrew 160k.

Re: Watch Dogs

I just started act 2 and haven't spent a dime yet. Is money only used at the gun shop? I think I've been there once at the very beginning of the game for one of the missions.

Re: Watch Dogs

Gun shops, bars, coffee shop, pharmacy, newsstand ... agree you cannot not accumulate money in this game

should have made you have to pay for gas at the pump, considering all the travel that would have made me spend

Money helps if you want to 100% the game. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

Ok.. I did this last night. Spent time changing song on radio at a newstand booth. It got me from 21 to 22.. I still have one song left to "hear"

Not sure which one I'm missing.

I still can't grasp why money exists in this game. I have nearly a million dollars in the game that I'm sitting on and I'm at over 80% completion. I've used money to purchase all the guns and clothes simply because I wanted to spend it on something. The guns you unlock through challenges work just fine and you'll usually refill your ammo for free when you do a Gang Hideout or Criminal Convoy.

Speaking of completion, so I've completed:
  • All five acts of the campaign.
  • All the Gang Hideouts.
  • All the Investigations.
  • All the QR Codes.
  • All the ctOS Breaches.
  • Checked in at all the hotspots.
  • Half of the Fixer Contracts.
Yet, the last three Criminal Convoys will not pop up for me. I've ran around the city hacking people left and right yet can't get those last Criminal Convoys to appear.

Ugh.

Re: Watch Dogs

I finished the Criminal Convoys last night.. Some of them were annoying when you have to just knock down instead of simply killing the person.

I had some pop up as I was hacking people's phones while walking around.

I haven't started act V yet... been trying to finish all the convoys, which I did last night, and the fixer contracts. I agree those ones are annoying and at 40 of them, there are too many. 20-25 would have been a good number.

I've knocked everything out in Pawnee and Parker Sqaure, that's for sure.

I'm not even going to complete all of the Fixer Contracts. I've already written those off. Any of the timed missions where you have to get the cars from Point A to Point B without any damage are bullshit and sometimes near impossible; especially with how awful the driving controls are in this game.

I've long finished the story mode and have been cleaning up the rest of the city and have done everything but all the fixer missions and 1 last convoy mission which for some reason does not appear on my map??!!!
