Watch Dogs

I though we had a thread on this already but I couldn't find it. New game play footage.

Looks cool but its basically GTA which I don't really care for that much.

Re: Watch Dogs

The game looks really good. Hopefully they don't run it into the ground like the Assassin's Creed series.

I also noticed that the button prompts are from an Xbox controller, but no way is that video from the 360 version. So it's either a controller hooked up to a PC or that might be from the new Xbox hardware.

Re: Watch Dogs

I think it is a combination of footage, as I am pretty sure I saw the PS Square.

Re: Watch Dogs

I'm in the minority and feel the game will be like the first Assassin's Creed. Great in concept but boring in execution.

Re: Watch Dogs

Can be preordered for the PS4 on Amazon for $99.99. Is that the new price point we should be expecting?

Re: Watch Dogs

^ That's been asked before of this and other PS4 titles on Amazon. The current theory is that it's simply the price Amazon assumes and nothing more. Hopefully that is not an accurate assumption or else I'll be opting out this generation.

Re: Watch Dogs

This game looks completley over-whelming in terms of stuff you can / have to do. While I can appreciate that a game can offer that technical depth (ie entering stores or apartments for every single building)... I don't know that I want it.

Re: Watch Dogs

from a tech standpoint -- the game looks spectacular. however the gameplay looks like a snoozefest. i hope you don't have to walk around that slow all of the time. i am impatient in my old age (is 34 old?)

Re: Watch Dogs

I'd get it just to explore a virtual Chicago. I don't recall any open world game set in Chicago.

I've always wanted an open city zombie game, similar to this kind of city design, where you have no idea what kind of situation you are walking into in each building and they are all different.

Anyways, That's a Barrett m82a1 I spotted in the gun store! I know what I'm going for first!

Re: Watch Dogs

A "vigilante mask"? So who wants to start taking bets when the first crime while wearing one is reported?

Re: Watch Dogs

Looks kind of fun, but nowhere near Infamous SS.

I actually think AC4, SR4 and GTAV all look more interesting as well.

Re: Watch Dogs

This game just looks dull to me. For some reason I think we have another AC on our hands. The first game will be cool in concept but a total snooze in execution whereas the sequel will live up to the potential of the first.

Re: Watch Dogs

I had canceled my pre-order. Not because of any word of mouth but because I wasn't sure what this game is or what it wants to be. AC was completely monotonous to me... I don't want to relive that with Watch Dogs. I'll wait for reviews.

The only launch games that are looking particularly next gen to me are BF4 and Killzone...and the driving games, but I'm getting one of those for free.

Re: Watch Dogs

I just preordered Watch Dogs (again) and Assassins Creed IV for the PS4.

I will decide which system version to keep after playing with the PS4 controller.

Re: Watch Dogs

I think the game looks pretty cool. I can see the point that it might be like AC 1 and be better in execution in the second game then the first. However Ubi has a company tends to produce quality games so I'll be playing it. Annoyed that the collectors edition is $130 though

Re: Watch Dogs

I thought it looked next gen from when I first saw this. The detail level and the fact that it does not slow down or load makes that obvious IMHO. I'm an AC fan anyways so I'm in but probably not at launch.
