I didn't know there were so many special editions of Watch Dog which, being a new IP, doesn't necessarily deserve even one.

Sterling can be annoying, but I can't disagree with him here:

Uh, there's only two SKUs of the game coming out in America:

1. Regular edition ($59.99).
2. Limited edition ($129.99).

The big retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, etc) all have their own pre-order bonuses, but that's not a Ubisoft practice. That's an entire gaming industry practice.

People will pay for the collectors and limited editions. That's the only reason why we keep seeing them.

Sigh. That's not the issue at all. Fact is, collectors editions of new IPs go unsold quite a bit. Because who's going to pre-order a $100+ CE of something you've never heard of or played before? There's no fan-base there yet! Not to mention, having so many different bonuses spread out as incentives for retailers rather than customers just builds resentment.

I'd have to agree. The whole point, for me, was the fact that it was an immersive world you could hack your way around... but it looks so... empty...
