You were already at the level cap (32). They just added level 33 and you already had enough XP to hit that level. So they automatically leveled you up to 33.

My understanding is that Level 33 adds
Spoiler:
Arnie Pye, Eddie, Lou, a K-9 Officer, and the Springfield Wax Museum, along with a number fo decorations, including the Sun Sphere.

To start the quest line, make sure
Spoiler:
Homer

just purchased wax museum for 256k, but that sunsphere is 750k.

fwiw, to start the new quest to get the new cop characters, you need

Wow! I congratulate myself for putting everyone on 4 hrs tasks, instead of 8 hrs, as I do most mornings.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah.. I had to put a couple buildings in storage to get snake and homer free. Snake is on the first of that quest line. I have the Wax museum building. I hope from that wiki page that the cost of the SWAT van is a mistake, otherwise its going to be a long time before I can afford that. The Calmwood building did go down some, but if I built that one as well, I'd be down to about nothing.

What a missed opportunity. They could have had the sun sphere crushing the wig store.

fwiw, the SWAT van cost me $225k. I had nearly $700k, which is down to about $250k now, since I also got the was museum.

Yeah.. I just got to that point in the quest line. 225000.... The wiki listed it as 750000

I have 290 now.. so no calmwood for me.. But 2 new characters will be nice.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'll get it eventually.. but the wax museum and swat van were priorities. Now to build up some money reserves so I am back with enough for other things.

And I still have to build up tickets.

It's getting difficult to juggle tasks for quests for characters that can be in either Springfield or Krustyland.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I leveled up and doubled my number of donuts!

Because I was still trying to earn tickets to start my next building, and because I have stuff going on tonight, I put a bunch of my Springfield characters on long quests, but luckily I had

Snake only on a four-hour task because of a random quest that popped up this morning. Thus I was able to buy the SWAT van, the wax museum, and the sun sphere (forgot to check if that actually does anything). Unfortunately Homer is still working in Krustyland.

Why is the Wigs.. I mean Sun Sphere in Springfield? Bart and the boys visited it while they were in Knoxville.

Exactly.
Spoiler:
Homer just freed up for me in KL so I waited for him to have something to do in Springfield, but apparently I needed Wiggum instead. I couldn't find him anywhere till I realized he was in KL, so I put the Ring Toss in storage to free him up, then went back to Springfield and put Moe's in storage to free up the two officers I had just sent there (along with three other citizens who were there, but who cares) and got my quest going. It looks like I don't need Homer yet so I sent him back to KL.

My KL building is going to take 36 hours and I'm down to 300 tickets, so it's going to take some discipline to build them back up, especially if there's another monster buy coming up soon.

I should be able to have the money by tomorrow anyway.

The big problem is that if Homer is in Krustyland, there's no easy way to know that he has a task in Springfield. Right now, I'm trying to rack up tickets. I keep the characters who have Krustyland tasks there. Except I have no way of knowing that Homer or Wiggum needs to go back to Springfield.

I'll probably bounce between Springfield and Krustyland to make sure that characters don't have quests before putting them in tasks.

Yeah, that's what I do, but it's a break from my typical routine, which is to give a character a new task as soon as they finish the old one. I don't like having characters wander around with nothing to do because they inevitably wander out of sight and then I forget that I didn't assign Marge (or whoever) to anything and she spends 8 hours wandering around not making me money. And it's going to be even worse in KL where you have to pick the real characters out from a crowd of tourists. It's not too bad now since my KL is small, but in a couple of weeks, I know it's going to be an issue.

This game desperately needs some sort of "What is each of my characters doing right now" tab.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

In both SF and KL, you can "hide" buildings and decorations, so you can more easily find your characters.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

My police quest was scheduled to end at 1 a.m. so I set everyone on tasks to end at 12 or 1, but of course I fell asleep and wasted numerous hours of productivity.

...then I automatically assigned all KL characters before going to Springfield and needing one of them to continue the police quest.

I don't immediately assign new tasks when people finish just because it can take a few seconds for a quest line (i.e., dialogue bubble) to kick in. But there is definitely a risk is then going back to assign people and make sure you get them all. Agree about the KL tourists, and the tall attractions also make it easier to miss someone, I think.

A character finder would be great. Yesterday I had to go to the game wiki to find out what task Wiggum could be on in order to find him (I did, but no thanks to the wiki, which didn't list KL tasks).

After I go back and forth between springfield and krusty I assign everyone. Then I go into the edit screen and hide buildings and trees so I can see the folks who are just wandering unassigned. Sometimes I hide everything to find S.S.Bob too

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

This game is annoying the shit out of me with all the freezes. It locks up at least 3x a day. Grrrrr.

Springfiled Wax Museum gives you like 35000 xp. I'm already lvl'd up again as a result.
