Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

You all keep coming to my town and setting fires. I decide to spring for some donuts. Added the clam theater and frinks lab, hope it brings my level up so i can keep adding more to my town

Thanks, good to be Tapping again. Yeah, the cannibalizing of items is pretty bad, and the fact that certain tasks eat up all of your inventory. It's almost like being at the beginning of the game but ten times slower.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Some of the random fires have been appearing on my water.

I unlocked the last prize, and now I can't seem to start fires in my neighbors' towns, which is annoying. It seems like I should be able to help people for the duration of the event, but I notice that my event icon is gone altogether. So I guess no event bonuses either.

This is a weak event after the stellar casino event. If I finish, yay, if not yay.

Well, it's a mini-event compared to the casino one that had multiple acts. The fire station is worth having, but it's
Spoiler:
BIG.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I don't think I'll make it all the way to the firehouse. I toyed with spending 100 do its on Homer and Apu but it just didn't seem that worth it when I only have 150 donuts right now. Plus, visiting neighbors has proven very, very slow on my phone. Either way, probably too late, but I'm fine with it.

How about you?

Got the firehouse. The thing I'm really worried about is the final stage of this giant redwood. It's gonna be costly haha.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I got the firehouse a few days ago. I thought I wouldn't get it when it was only Moe, I think, doing tasks to get 800 medals, or whatever. And I wasn't login too often.

Easy event.

Any thoughts on this greenhouse? Is it worth it?

Has anyone here tried one of the online hacks for money and donuts, I have seen them online and on youtube. Don't want to get sucked in to some scheme.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I haven't personally, I ended up with a ton of donuts with the harp of death a few years ago. I had a friend that messed around with the hacked Android files a while back on his own account. I don't know if he's done it recently or not. I would recommend against it personally, because I'm not big on giving other people my passwords, and I definitely wouldn't pay anyone to do any of it.

I was wondering the same thing. TSTO Addicts says it's a bunch of multiplier items plus the greenhouse that total at least 6.5%. The net costs 20 donuts by itself, but it doesn't appear to be a multiplier--the regular menu just says that it improves vanity. So the bundle is a lot cheaper than some of the big multipliers like Mount Springfield. If you compare it to one of the cheaper, more efficient items, the jet engine bike is 30 donuts for a 2% bonus, so that's about the same % but you also have the greenhouse generating revenue and XP. On the other hand, all the stuff is either nice or messy depending on whether you want to place it all.

I think I'll probably end up getting it. I've been piling up donuts lately and interested in multipliers.

https://tstoaddicts.com/2016/04/13/4...er/#more-35822

Nature Pack- Available until April 19th..100 Donuts. Includes Springfield Greenhouse, 5 Apple Trees, Butterfly Tent, Cherub Bird Bath, Kang Topiary, Kodos Topiary, 5 Orange Trees, 10 Rose Bushes & 1 Tree Swing. That’s a lot of bonus % available for that. (Apple and Orange Trees offer .50% bonus each (so that 5% right there), Kang and Kodos Topiary offer .50% (so another 1%). And the Tree Swing also offers a .50% bonus…I have to check on the Butterfly Tent, it is premium but I don’t know off hand if/what a bonus % would be. But it’s at least 6.5% with that bundle.

I think a few people here have tried them and not had problems. It's a hack, though, and EA threatens that people who use them will get their accounts/games frozen or something like that. I haven't heard of anyone who's actually had that happen to them. I was interested when I first heard about them, but skipped it when the seedier nature of it was revealed.

Jcheckel's point is good about sharing passwords. The way to do it would be to change your password beforehand to something temporary--say, "suspendmeEA"--for the hackers to use, then afterward change it back to your regular password.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I bought Duffman the other day, and I noticed he doesn't have any dialog balloons (or slides or whatever) between quest missions. Most characters have little back and forths with Homer or Lisa saying things like "I've got to practice doing ___" before you send them on their next task, but I'm getting nothing like that for Duffman, I just click on his exclamation mark balloon and it says "Promote Duff beer" or whatever.

Is this normal? I figured Duffman would have some funny things to say.

I've done the hack via Reddit a couple of times - you have to wait 2 months or so before requesting it again - with no problems. No scheme at all.

That's exactly what you should do for something like this. Again, no problems here. Plus I've never actually purchased anything through EA's site or apps, so I'm not worried about a CC number being used or anything.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Huge update released!

Long quest too. But the first 8 are really quick, 6s each or so.

The event will last until May 30th!

There are some changes to the UI and stuff like that, that look positive right now.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Wow, I didn't realize there was an update coming! Will check it out tonight.

I finally got something from my rocket other than debris and ant signs--a nuclear warhead that's a 2.25% multiplier!

That's the way it is with the older premium characters. There's no story. No comments. Just do this. Do that. Done.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Got six donuts from completing a daily challenge, then the bonus prize was a Mystery Box with 30 more donuts!

I ended up getting only the nature bundle from the pack of Gil deals. The elementary school was kind of interesting but it didn't have a character, and I kind of snoozed on the nightmare multiplier.

I like the event so far, but as usual am still figuring out exactly what to do, which currency to chase, etc.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I'm reading that this new update allows you to rush tasks for free if it's 90% done. It doesn't seem to apply to tasks where you earn items such as Springfield Heights or the Rail Yard.

How long doe this "Wild West" game within the game supposed to last? It was okay at first, but kind of annoying now.

I noticed that with the new Gummy Joe character. The first time I hit the button to finish a task, I thought it was the donut spend and rushed to try to cancel, but it was free. I haven't kept track of the percentage of a task done, but once I was able to finish with 19 minutes left. Event currency tasks can't be rushed, though.

The event tab shows how long is left in act 1 (11 days), and it'll probably be a few weeks in all. You could just ignore it and do your regular building since your town is still pretty new, but the nice thing about the event is that you have the chance to earn buildings and characters that won't be available later. And you can still use non-event characters to earn $ and XP. Of course the annoying thing is that if you're working on quests, chances are good that they'll be the same characters who are involved in the event. That's how it nearly always goes.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Just a quick note to say I really like this event. Did some town rearranging and set up a few Wild West blocks just north of my Southtown house farm and put my Casinoland there next door.

The dialogue is funny, especially Moe. Moe has turned out to be the funniest character in this game!

This is the longest I have ever played a game (almost)daily by a long shot so it was fun while it lasted just not anymore.
I'm back!!!

I wrote that almost 12 months ago. I heard you can now select a whole section rather than an individual item and move it somewhere. I downloaded the app again last night. Going to try to get back into it now.
