I apologize for not visiting any of you in the first round of Xmas; my iPad 1 would crash almost every time I tried. I got a new iPad for Christmas, so I'm back in tw visiting game.

david777, I tried to send you a PM and it said you're not accepting any. Can you switch that up, please? Looks like we've got until noon CST, thanks.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

PM sent.

Also, I don't mean to be an alarmist, but I made a donut purchase on my own account but I didn't get any. I thought it might have been because I had to update iTunes info in the middle so I tried again and it again said I was successful, but no donuts and my iTunes balance hasn't changed either. I tried restarting the game as well as logging out and logging back in with no success. This has me concerned when I'm trying to do the transaction for story as well.

Did you log into his iTunes account on the settings section of your device? That may be the disconnect.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Just sent you a message, david, and now I see yours, starseed (thanks!), and all of these exchanges here. Uh-oh. David, do you want to give it a shot or should I toss this one to starseed?

This was just on my own account, so no sleight of hand involved. It should have been straightforward.

Of course now I can't get into the game at all.

Hmm. Starseed, I can send you the same thing I sent David. Maybe you'll have luck? Thanks, both of you, for giving this a shot.

David, don't miss your own shot at the sale to help me, okay?

It worked, David, thank you! And thank you, starseed, for playing backup! Never underestimate the power of DVDTalk when it wants to do something great!

And now... to go... look at my donuts (all free, thanks to gift cards)... look at my options... and be paralyzed by choice!

Recommendations, anyone? What's the funniest? What's the best bargains? Likely looking at buildings plus people but could be convinced to bite on a person alone here or there.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I myself need restaurants so I think I'm gonna go with the Sushi place and the Hungry Hun. Any feedback on those?

I'd spent all my saved up donuts on the sushi place when it came out and I love it. Akira has a funny story, especially good if you have Comic Book Guy's wife. Plus, Akira can make free bonsai trees, one per 24 hours.

Poor Akira, he's been my bonsai slave ever since his storyline ended. I have like forty now!

Not sure if you have the cracker factory, but that's one of the buildings I've bought. Luann has some funny tasks, and Kirk gets a premium task.

I've been intending to get the sushi guy because of the low price.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I bough the $20 donuts pack for my daughter and decided to think about that for me. Reading the last posts got excited but it was too late for me.

I only have $10 credit, so I guess that's fine. I try to always buy the codes from PayPal when they have a 20% discount. But try to keep my iTunes credit under $100, to no abuse it.

Another vote for the cracker factory. Great stuff there.

Woke up today with notifications for three charges from iTunes, one to my points and two to my credit card. I'm disputing the charge with Apple and will see what happens. Unfortunately I didn't take screenshots, which is what I hear helps a lot.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I've found that the iTunes balance on my iPad doesn't always update. Sometimes it takes a while. Sometimes I need to log out and back in to get it to update.

Dude, you're apologizing when you have like 27,000 bells. Well done!
