Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

That's the site. It was set up by spAnser, a guy known to delve into the game files. I believe he even got a mention in the game at one point. According to the details that I saw on the warning, the security certificate for his site expired on the 18th of last month.

To those who finished all the Tunnel tasks:
Spoiler:
who the hell is this character?

I thought I was fairly up to date with this show.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

That nativity scene is pretty cool, I hope you can have all the characters re-create that all the time. I however would have made Maggie be Jesus and Bart be the little drummer boy or a shepherd.

Spoiler:
You gave up on the show in 1992? He's an obscure one-shot character from 1993:

I finished all of the tunnels at around 3 am. (I routinely fall asleep in front of the Christmas tree, even though I'm on a love seat and know full well that I *always* wake up sore and uncomfortable in the middle of the night when I do that. Christmas lights are a drug.)

All I know is he keeps trying to eat cats.

Also I'm able to get unlimited money from the writers house for the one who asked earlier.

Now I remember. Makes sense with all the rest of the items from that episode.

14K!

Should I continue to make presents? Are they going to count for the second part?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yay! Two more giant premium items and NO LAND!! Wtf do they expect people to do? I'm assuming we will unlock more buildings with presents and daily tasks as well. They almost need to double the city sizes at this point.

I've been having a lot of trouble off and on too, starseed. Sometimes restarting my tablet helps sometimes not. Mostly it just takes 5 or 6 tries to get a successful update download. What is your ID? Mine is dfin25224 I don't think I have you in my friends list.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I can't get into the game. Keeps crashing just before finishing final loading. The game's forum shows a bunch of other people having the same problem.

My guess is that something corrupted a bunch of our towns.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I finally got in but have had trouble the last couple days.

I was 100 presents short of a second donut bonus. But that's better than having just enough considering I couldn't even get into the game at the 9 a.m. deadline.

As far as whether EA is still supporting this game or not, I haven't bought a Gil deal in a while, but there haven't been all that many either. I'll take a look at this one.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I had reached 100K Speedy Rewards points and besides the occasional big (free) cup of coffee I really didn't have anything to spend them on. Then I remembered that I could exchange them for iTunes GCs, and that Gil was sure to show up around Christmastime, so I decided to convert those points to Donuts.

The $15, $25, and $50 iTunes GCs were priced at the same rate... 1100 Points per Dollar. And with $38 and change in my iTunes account (from various promotions and birthday/holiday gifts), I would only need $70 more to have enough to buy a Boatload with 7% Indiana tax. So I cashed out 77K Points to get a $70 in GCs (1x$25 + 3x$15) and stashed them in my desk until Gil showed up. I didn't immediately load-up my iTunes account with them, because there was always the chance the rather than offering more donuts for the same price, Gil might bring back the Easter 2013 pricing and offer the same # of donuts but at a 25% reduced price. I didn't want to get stuck putting $$ into my iTunes account - I'd never use it for anything. Would rather have a GC laying around that I could regift to someone.

Well, Gil is offering me 3120 Donuts for $99.99 ($106.99 w/tax), so I convert the 4 GCs into iTunes credit, go buy a Boatload, and now I've got $1.48 in leftover Apple money and over 3300 Donuts to spend in Springfield. All for doing little more than buying gas over the years.

My shopping list is:
250: Barney & Barney's Bowlarama
180: Disco Stu & Stu's Disco
160: Open Air Stage
150: Luann & Southern Cracker Factory
90: Duff Stadium (adds a 2hr task to Duffman)
80: Aztec Theatre (adds task for SVT)
75: Springfield Observatory (6hr tasks for Frink and Lisa)
60: Hans Moleman (add Open Air Stage task)
60: Bumblebee Man (add 8h Channel 6 task)
40: Channel 6 News Van (adds Channel 6 task)
30: Piece of Crap Car (adds Nelson task)
-----
1175 Total Cost

~2200 Donuts Left Over
