Based on that image of the "Day One Edition," the only visible perk is the words "Day One Xbox" on the controller.
I'm also guessing... 1TB HDD. :)

Skib! It might as well say "I'm A Fool" on it.

Maybe the day one editions will have a lower hardware failure rate!

Raul3 06-10-13 10:56 AM

I wonder if that's going to be a Microsoft Store (Online?) exclusive. Otherwise, nice work not having a leak.

I wonder if game specific cards will still be available. At least there's hope of sales if those are involved.

Surface tablet, Windows 8, Windows phone, and now XBone, it's like Microsoft has developed this bizarre plan to release crap products, kill off modern technology and set us back to the stone age.

Introducing the new Kinect for XBone!

Surface Tablet Pro and Windows Phone 8 are pretty good just not widely adopted.

Windows 8 on Desktop and Laptops is a cluster fuck of shit.

They keep fucking with their established things (Desktop, Laptop OS and Xbox) and turn them into shit.

Bill Gates wants to earn his billions all over again. He didn't find it too difficult the first time so he is challenging himself this go round.

Bill Gates has more to do with reinventing condoms than he does Microsoft at this point.

Rare is making a Kinect Sports launch title for Xbox One. Bleh.

I have a Windows 8 tablet, and it's a pretty decent OS for a tablet. Surface uses RT, which is going to fail because there's almost no price difference to move up to a Win 8 tablet. I shudder to think how bad Win 8 would be without a touchscreen.

Xbone looks like a mess to me, but I've never really been an Xbox guy so I'm not sure I'm fully objective.

And the Rare guy on Spike just said the console launches in November. Fired.

Kinect Sports Rivals looks amazing. They sure were excited to announce that.

Really? That's the "classic franchise" that Rare is revisiting?

Killer Instinct, I think.

I dunno, Surface RT is $499, Surface Pro is $899 which seems about on par. I'm assuming there isn't much difference between the Pro and every other Win 8 tablet out there, other than that snap on keyboard. Do they all come with styluses?

The RT really is too limited in function though, even at $499 it's too expensive and performance lacking.

The Xbox One definitely has some hurdles to get over, for everything it does right, the DRM structure fucks it up.

This is exactly what I thought they were about to announce until they blew their load with that rock climbing simulator. The graphics looked very this generation as well.

They'd probably announce something like Killer Instinct during the actual show, yeah?

All Pro versions come with the stylus. It works great in OneNote and a handful of other apps. The RT doesn't even support the stylus (different digitizer).

It would be a great option for businesses who "just want Office on a tablet," but you're right. Performance is crap. RT (on any device, not just Surface) seems like nothing more than a "see. We could do it!" project.

That remains to be seen. I think the possibilities with the DRM are pretty terrible, but it's a matter of how it's used by actual devs. Much like Cinavia on the Blu-ray side... it's there... and it's evil... but only Sony uses it (so far).

According to the IGN E3 stream, this MS show is 1 hour, with a 1.5 hour post-show. I thought it was originally billed as a 2.5 hour show.

There has been a delay in the Xbone conference because there is a problem with the DRM.

As as I am angered about everything we've heard about this system so far I have to say that if they announced a new Killer Instinct game it probably would make me run out and preorder a system right away.

Mine is a Samsung 500T. It has a slower processor (Atom) and only 64GB of memory, but it's a nice little tablet and has full Windows 8. I got it with an attachable keyboard for $430 on Amazon warehouse deals, and it looked new when I got it. I think it's normally $500 without the keyboard.

Raul3 06-10-13 11:39 AM

Right now I'm only interested to know the date and price, so I'll watch the Apple conference instead.
