I liked the Boogie video. Well done. Smart P.R., Microsoft.
Every time I see a review or impression of the One, it seems so Kinect-focused in all its features that I worry the system will be barely functional without one connected to it.

Both my One and my replacement PS4 shipped from Amazon almost simultaneously tonight. PS4 guaranteed delivery tomorrow, One guaranteed Friday. I'm going to keep tracking them and cheering them on as they race from the warehouse to my office. It's like one of those animated scoreboard races they have during timeouts at sporting events.

I'm asking myself that every 5 minutes now. MS Store preorders went up first, so that's what I went with, and figured it wasn't worth the risk to cancel.

To be fair, I DID get my Surface Pro (which also shipped from the fake Ontario in California) in less than 2 business days, so it's possible my XO gets here on Friday, but I'm now tempted to go to BB tomorrow at midnight just because. I have a preorder card that they were giving out like poisoned candy... but it's not for a Day One console... I think.

I keep hoping that Amazon will go ahead and ship my console in an effort to reduce the load on their servers from all the refreshing I've been doing for about 24 hours now.

That Major Nelson/Boogie video was a nice treat. I really dig Major Nelson and he seems to be one of the few real personable faces of Microsoft or of any gaming company. I know the ranting and raving that Boogie is mostly for show but if I were a major corporation I would probably blow the guy off. Instead this guy made out huge(not a fat joke) when it came to console launches this month.

My XBOX says shipping soon. My PS4 made a super speedy trip so I guess this system will see the same fast service. My HDMI splitter arrived today and my XBOX game will be here tomorrow. This time I'll have my wife on alert so this system doesn't spend 5 hours on the front porch because UPS couldn't be bothered to knock.

from what I read it doesn't pass through the multi-channel sound. it still takes it in as stereo, and then up-mixes to surround sound, kind of like headphones do.

and mine is in phoenix and i still don't have shipping confirmation! it is ok, though. if they ship it with OneTrac local delivery, I usually get their deliveries before noon. :banana:
