I will pickup my FIFA 14 (X1) today from Gamestop. I will see if I can pay the rest of my console too, and maybe get an extra controller.

Download editing details about Xbox One's 'Upload Studio' right here
http://www.joystiq.com/2013/11/19/xb...-studio-video/ With the ability to upload to YouTube and Facebook, along with a suite of editing options, the Xbox One's Upload Studio appears to be the most feature-rich way to share your gameplay clips we've seen yet on next-gen consoles. |
Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
I was just going to post how the Xbox uploads clips to Skydrive and let's you do whatever you want with them from there! Pretty awesome and much better than PS4 which forces you to use Facebook only and has no editing software built in.

So, wait... is Upload Studio available at launch? With YouTube support?

Upload studio, yes.
YouTube support, I don't know. You can upload to skydrive, then to YouTube from you PC for sure though. |
Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
For those who are interested, the Xbox One Smartglass app is now available on some platforms. I installed it on my Windows Phone and played with it a bit (not much you can do without an actual console in your house). It's pretty slick from what I've seen so far.

Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
Yeah, I don't think direct to Youtube is, but once the clip is on Skydrive you can technically upload it anywhere you want.
Still a better option than just to Facebook or your PSN friends. |

Oh you're the one with a Windows phone. ;)

No YT support on release date? Order cancelled! :(

Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
Shit! No live streaming at launch via twitch. That blows :(
|
Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
Welp...
Live gameplay streaming on Xbox One delayed until 2014 http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2013/1...ed-until-2014/ Bummer, but man Twitch is already fucked with all the PS4 streams hitting it. I can't imagine what the sudden influx of Xbox One streams would have done to that service. |
Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
The Ps4 stream quality kinda blows anyways, so hopefully this means the X1 will stream at much higher quality. Even on our network at work, my friends ps4 stream was kinda sub-720p blurry from his office to my PC in the same building. That and the fact that a few games don't even broadcast audio is pretty bad.

When did Live Streaming become so important to folks? I know review sites and I guess bloggers may use it, but when did the average gamer start caring? Also if you are a former streamer, can't you just use your old equipment to carry on until the one is updated?
All legit questions as I don't stream obviously, lol. |

Streaming is a pretty big new feature from popular PC games, but mostly just a novelty that most won't use more than once. I'll use it for any associated achievements :)

Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
I'm glad, this gives me more time to actually stream my gaming when I'm actually good at playing any of these games. ;)

Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
Yes, streaming is important, it's a next gen thing. Young people care about it.
I don't. I've never watched more than one minute. |
When I first heard about Don't Starve I was really interested in it but I never really buy PC games. I fired up Twitch on my 360 and watched someone play for over an hour. I bought the game immediately after. Looking forward to the game arriving on the PS4 in the near future.

Re: Xbox One Pre-Release Thread: Upscaled to 1080p! (11/22/2013)
I tried watching streams of Dota 2 thinking it would help my gameplay. Not only did things play too fast, I had no idea what the commentators were even talking about.
Steams of Hearthstone are more helpful, have picked up a few things watching those. |
