Yeah, this is what I assumed was actually going on. That said, I'm really hoping for this to arrive on Thursday. UPS delivers notoriously late in my area, so if it's scheduled for delivery on Friday, I won't get it until 7 or 8pm. At least if it comes on Thursday night, I can set it up, update it, and start downloading CoD:G and NFS:R and maybe Ryse so I can play them after work on Friday.

I am.
I'm considering picking up a single physical game (NFS or Ryse...) just as a backup if the downloads don't go well on launch day/weekend, but that's it.
Since I didn't pre-order any games, I'd have to get in line with all the nerds for the midnight launch. I do need a second controller as well...

I'd expect the games to be in-store prior to launch by several days. At least that's how the PS4 games were last week.

The stores up here seem less inclined to putting stock out early, but I'm still planning to swing by a few places this week, just in case. I'd really rather avoid the midnight crowd/weather. :)

the TRU I went to today had AC4, Forza, all the sports games, and some of the other 3rd party games in the case, but wouldn't sell them.

FWIW, the street dates on the launch games are different. There are some being sold tomorrow (sports games), some thursday and the rest on friday. look at the TRU weekly ad for the street dates and titles of the games.

BF4, Assassins Creed, the sports games and a few others had street date of today. tomorrow is NFS and friday is DR3, Forza and Ryse.

Wal-Mart is going to have Assassin's Creed 4, Madden 25, FIFA 14, NFS: Rivals, NBA 2K14, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Battlefield 4 for $49 on Black Friday. Skylanders Swap Force and Disney Infinity will both be $37.

They said they're going to start their Black Friday one week early too, so you should be able to take advantage of all that at launch!

My TRU said the same thing. I asked to speak to the manager, and the manager said she thought I wanted Ryse, Dead Rising and Forza. I told her I wanted AC4, NBA 2k14, and Ghosts, and she sold them to me no problem. Got a $50 gift card out of it, too, which I will use on Dead Rising 3 on Friday :up:
