I decided to start a new character last night, an Exo Titan. Already got him up to Level 12. I finished everything on Earth, and then went into the Crucible. And I held my own there. Honestly, I didn't feel any more or less advantaged than I did with my Level 28 Warlock (well maybe a bit less without my Suros auto rifle )

I think the key to the Crucible is to stick to playing Control, and stay in a pack when you can.

Agreed about the pack. If you stick together you're pretty much unbeatable unless you're naturally gifted in killing foes.

Oh I get that. I was the exact same way. I'm just saying, it's hard enough to get just a couple friends together to play, let alone 6. Unless you have a ton of friends that play this game regularly, chances are you're not gonna get many opportunities to even try the raid.

I was lucky and got invited by completely random people looking to fill out their fire team.

Once you get to 20, it's all about your gear. I already have some decent gear for my newly created Titan, that I got during my Warlock run, so I'll probably skip 21 and maybe 22 completely.

After five Legendary Cube drops and nothing but Blue items I opened up number six and finally got my first Legendary Rifle....

I really havn't had much problem getting with some and have had some here send invites or jump in which has been great. Just felt like a third wheel sometimes because it's been tougher Stikes and I just didn't have good enough guns...and still don't in a way.

It's pretty satisfying when you go on patrol and manage to complete a few bounties, participate in a public event, farm a bunch of raw materials, and complete a bunch of patrol missions all in one fell swoop.

The unskippable cutscenes have gotten pretty infuriating to me. I don't need to see these ten times.

As mentioned before, your level is far more important than which guns you have when it comes to damage dealt in this game. Any gun is great if you're a level or two above that of the enemy, and any gun is equally useless if you're 2+ levels below the enemy.

I also love that to progress on Venus, I have to watch that damn rift cutscene which is incredibly long. I can't wait to do that with my eventual third character.

Also, you also get stronger when your weapons go through eventual upgrades, too.

Go into Oribit once the mission's over (during the countdown). You'll still get credit, and you won't need to watch the cutscenes. This works even when you're replaying missions for EXP while leveling an alt. You'll get all the rewards/bounties for the mission, without having to re-watch cutscenes.
This applies to both missions and strikes. Anything you get from the reward screen is added to your inventory once you're in orbit, and all progress is saved (xp, reputation, marks, drops, bounty progress... everything.)

no PSN problem here just Bungie servers (and of course a certain group is taking credit for it)

Yeah I got booted at the very end of a level 24 Strike.

I played in a party tonight for the first time and found out my Turtle Beach headset is pretty worthless. You need to run a friggin cable from the conroller to the headset just to be able to chat. Problem is mine came with the wrong cable.

Yep...same here...booted about 10 minutes or so ago and won't connect again. i was hoping it was the Endgram patch arriving early.

Well that map is an up to the minute/second display for PSN, denoting where it's backed up, slow or down for whatever reason. And if PSN is bad enough, it can affect Destiny to some degree.

Also tried the Queen mission a couple of times and got the HELMET,CHEST-PLATE, and her SNIPER RIFLE [can't remember name]. Does she also give Leg or Arm armor?

No, in fact you got very lucky with the Sniper as it's extremely rare. The only other thing you can get from her missions is a ship, which is also rare and not worth the effort.
