They're good at both. I was talking about atmosphere in the mood sense.

I just know how they did the sky, change day to night is the closest thing to real I've ever seen in a game. It really adds an all new element and mood in the game.

I meant both, the former contributing to the latter.

And I understood what Rich meant.

Destiny Has Gone Gold, Ready to Launch September 9

Destiny, Bungie's shared-world shooter and first big game following Halo, has gone gold, meaning discs are being pressed and getting ready to ship to stores.

"Destiny is done, in some respects. Even now, so close to the end, it still feels like we’re just getting started," David "DeeJ" Dague said in the developer's weekly update. "How we’ll keep things lively on the frontier is a longer conversation – the sort of thing you could base an entire discussion around – a conversation that we hope is long and fruitful and just getting started in its own right."

A DVD Talk clan is long, long overdue. There was actually a pretty decent one way back in the early days when the first Halo came out on the first XBox.

hmm... if PSN can collapse from a DDoS attack, I wonder how it'll hold up the day Destiny is released.

Different things. PSN should be able to handle Destiny.

I mean, yes, its not as robust as Xbox Live, but it isn't attacked it should be fine.

Then again, most online games, in all consoles, have had issues at release date, in the last couple of years.

Come on, are we really thinking Destiny isn't going to be broke as fuck for the first couple days? I'm sure it will be playable, but expect a lot of drops and online issues for a game this big.

For the PS4. After reading, it looks like I'd be better off spending a little more and getting the gold wireless.

Yeah, the Gold Wireless is the way to go on the PS4. I'd bet there will be a dedicated setting for Destiny in the Headset App as well.

It was only $40 AR from Tiger Direct, but that's gone now. I got it for $55 from New Egg. There are deals to be had if you keep a lookout.

Until then, any headset or earbuds that would work on a phone will work with a DS4.

I've given in and ordered the Destiny bundle. I had planned to hold off on a ps4 until next summer but my son showing me videos of this game was just too tempting.

Your son is smart...and you won't regret it. Most of the videos are pretty much what you see in the game and yes it looks even better playing it. Besides...there is so much more coming between Destiny and the first part of next year you'll be thanking your son over & over. Welcome to the PS4...
