Re: Bungie - Destiny
I just did the lvl 32 weekly heroic. It matched me with only 1 other person. He was Lvl 33 and only had 135 light. He used the test weapons from the gunsmith for the entire time. All his armor was blue and had a light levels in the 100-110 range. And he didn't die the entire strike (it's Omnigul if you didn't know so that's no small feat).
He then sent a friend request and asked to do the nightfall. Same exact result. So he did the nightfall and weekly with 135 light and horrible gear. And he never died. Either he's a total badass or this new light system is definitely more forgiving than the previous version.

Re: Bungie - Destiny
So anyways, I officially have the Destiny itch again. I went ahead and pre-ordered TTK. And as a nice surprise, I had the new emotes and shaders at the postmaster when I went to the tower. The new dance moves are way better than the originals. Only downside is they're specific to each class (shaders too). Titan has the best, IMO. Hammertime anyone?

Maybe there will be more next week. I have them on all 3 characters. I pre-ordered the "collectors edition". I don't know if they come with just the regular TTK purchase.

If you bought the collectors edition you get them now. If you only spent $40 on the Taken King, you have the privilege of spending another $20 on Tuesday to get the emotes and shaders.

One more Ghost that is easy to get to. Need to do The Ruling House mission to get this one. There is also a ghost in the new ps exclusive strike, but it is a pain in the ass to glitch over to that one.

OK, after my rant this morning, I've had to do a lot of soul searching. I've been on the fence for weeks now, teetering between the darkness and the light. Of course, I'm not even sure which side would be the darkness in this case.
But after careful consideration of all the facts so far, and the speculation, not to mention the ungodly amount of hours I've already poured into this game, I have decided it's time to make a decision one way or the other. As The Exo Stranger says "A side must be chosen, even if it's the wrong side" (Yes, I'm fucking quoting the game!)
My decision will be rendered tonight...as part of what could be my final Xur Report. That's right, you can tune in tonight at reset to hear my decision live! It's the biggest broadcasted decision since LeBron went to Miami.

OK folks, the moment of Truth is here. And no, I don't mean the Rocket Launcher.
It's time for the Xur Report for September 11th, 2015. We Will Never Forget.
Now, what this week should be called is confusing. Is this Week 53? Or Year 2, Week 1? In terms of what Xur has to offer, this is squarely in the court of Year 1. However, Xur has changed a bit from what we're used to, so in that way he has crossed over to Year 2, just not all the way.
Anyway, let's get to the goods. Xur is located in Center Tower, next to the Crucible Quartermaster.

So we'll start with the changes made here first.
As you can see, Exotic Shards have been removed from Xur's table. I guess if you need one, you're going to have to spend the coins or motes to buy something from him and break it down.
Telemetries have also been removed. They were streamlined into just three items, which are sold by the Gunsmith (where they belong anyway).
The final change is the most controversial. Xur still has Heavy Ammo synth, but now you only get 3 packs for 1 coin instead of 5 like in the past. This was likely done because you can trade them to the factions for Rep. But also it's still the best deal for ammo packs in the game.
So on with what he has for sale this week:
For the Titan, it's The Helm Of Inmost Light. The roll is good at 34. 35 is the new max for Year one helmets, so this is decent. This is the 7th time he has sold this item, and the first time in 8 weeks. This item has been carried over to 2.0, so if you don't have one, pick it up.
For the Hunter, it's the Celestial Nighthawk Helmet. The roll of 25 is pretty low by the new standards. But like the Inmost Light, it is getting carried over to year 2. It's only the second time Xur has sold this item, and the first time in 8 weeks. It's a great helmet, so if you need it, grab it.
For the Warlock, it's the Apothoesis Veil Helmet. Unlike the other 2 helmets, this item is not being carried over to Year 2. This is the 6th time Xur has sold it, including 2 weeks ago. The roll is better now at 32. But again, it's not getting upgraded right now, so unless you need it to complete your collection, it's a pass.
The engram this week is for Chests. According to Bungie, Xur will have a Legacy Engram, which will drop Year 1 items.
The weapon this week is No Land Beyond. Yes, we end Xur 3.0 with the infamous sniper that some people really love, but most of us hate. It's the 4th Time Xur has sold this item, but get this: it's the first time he's sold it in 29 weeks! That's February folks. It's been a really long wait for people who have wanted this gun (crazy people), only rivaled by the long wait for the Gjallarhorn (though still not even close).
NLB is not getting a 2.0 upgrade at this time, but this is almost exclusively a PVP weapon, meaning there will still be valid uses for it.
So there we go. Xur 3.0 is done. Xur 4.0 joins us next week, with new items for sale...or the same old crap. We just never know.
OK ladies and gentlemen, I said I would come to a decision by the end of this, and if you watched my live feed, you already know. Here's the live feed:

But I also did my normal recorded Report, with special guest me007gold!

Mayhem was just released. Super recharge rate is enhanced by a lot. This mode is a ton of fun. Speaking as some one who hates pvp, I would play this mode alot.
