Yep...same here. I did the Digital Guardian; put the console on Standby before leaving this morning, came home and turned it back on and getting System Maintenance. Can't get to anything...

Since I'm getting the Digital Guardian....should the Beta be atuomatic or is everyone actually getting a code?

Get the damn network working already. If you want millions to buy and play on your network then at least have one that is sustainable. I was just coming here to see when this damn beta kicks off to get this bad news. GYST for the love of gaming!

Download was slow to start out, but I'm now at about 30 percent. It should be done in about an hour or so.

What happens if two separate studios decide to drop network heavy titles in the same time frame? Sony's network would sink like the Titanic. This is proof that they did little to really fortify their network before they released this system and it is irritating.

After a little more than an hour trying on and off I finally got into the Store Front. But even then I got kicked out several times before hitting the Beta DL button. Once I got it you still have to install the game which means connected to the PSN netwrok...which I got kicked out a few times on it. The game is finally installing...creeping along but installing. If anything the slide show of various still shots are a sight to behold while the game installs.

Now I hope the network is not bogged down tonight....if someone is solo and needs a buddy just send me an invite. Suppose to have some friends on but they might run into DL issues to.

best buy just sent me 2 beta codes. i already have one from a previous preorder but i'm going to keep one just in case. if anyone REGULAR participant of this form needs one, I can pass it along.

I did the Digital Guardian online also but you still have to go to the Store Front>Destiny>Beta and hit the DL button.

Once DL'd you have to start and then the game installs...almost 11gb.

I can't even log in to the PSN via their web site. This is ridiculous... new gen has been a total let down so far.

Yeah, because last-gen's PSN worked so flawlessly.

Well my download slowed to a crawl. I was at 80% 30 minutes ago. Now I'm up to 83!

Downloaded no problem when I got home around 4, took about 40mins. I played for a couple of hours, and had a great time. Can't wait to play some more on my day off.

fired up the game that I had downloading much earlier in the day to discover when I launched it the Installing Destiny Transferring Game Content screen came up and started at 50% progress

When did you start? My beta took about four hours from start to finish.

I don't think I want to play too much of the Beta. I played the Alpha and it feels like I'm playing that over again with some added bonuses. I saw a ton of level 8 people running around already.
