Got another new shader from the cryptarch, called Undercity.

It should be called Hot Dog. Red and Yellow. Too much yellow.

McRubick and Toshka?

I'm one gun away from getting the complete raid set (c'mon Praetorian Foil!).
I've been luckier with the armor than I have with the guns. Three 30s and only missing Titan helm and Warlock gauntlets, but no Fatebringer, Praedyth’s Timepiece, Praetorian Foil, or Hezen Vengeance. Also no Vex Mythoclast and only one Corrective Measure or Atheon's Epilogue.

RNG gonna RNG.

Yeah, we talked a bit about your luck with the armor...well, that was before mmcareen got his boots anyway.

Congrats! You have way more patience than I. My plan is to slowly whittle the 200 kills down over the course of a week or two. I'm in no rush for the Pocket Infinity. Thanks for posting the video. That's definitely the way to do knock out this bounty.

I'd say the best reason to knock it out quick is to get the bounty spot back. I mean 1 is not bad, but I had 2 of those weapon bounties at once (Pocket Infinity and Thorn I think), and it made management of other bounties tough. I believe the next Nightfall is Devil's Lair, so you could probably get it there.

OK, Destiny just knocked me offline. The new update is available. It's a 2.44GB download, and your PS4 should automatically download it. This update adds the ability to have voice chat with the random people you get paired with in strikes or the crucible that aren't on your fireteam. I'm sure there's lots more to it than that.

Kills do not have to be in the nightfall area for the mission, just ANY darkness zone for that planet. As long as you are killing lvl 28 enemys they will count towards the bounty. Plus when you are not in the darkness zone when you die, you do not get kicked back to orbit.

yes, that is what I posted
I didn't realize prior to seeing the video that you could get level 28 enemies outside of the darkness zone thus allowing the respawn

Just got kicked from Destiny. The new patch is taking forever to download. Haven't got any official patch notes yet, but the Bungie twitter page says this is a big one. Hopefully it has some good stuff.

Thanks. I knew about that too, I think Chase told me, but didn't have self-rez at the time and then forgot about the glitch once I had self-rez.

Strikes
Winter's Run: Fixed an exploit zone in the Aksor boss encounter
Difficulty will scale less for 3-player Fireteams, making Strikes less deadly for them

Sounds like they made it so you can't get under the platform anymore. Boo.

The second one is a good thing, as there was a clear difference between soloing a strike and playing with 1 or 2 others.

Also noticed that public events will increase by 15-20%. Sounds good on the surface, but it's going to make timing them a bit more difficult. Earth was on a pretty solid clock, Top and bottom of the hour, be at mothyards, 15 and 45, be at the Divide. Easy to remember. Sounds like that'll change.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

OK, I can confirm that they have blocked the entrance to the area below the platform in the Winter's Run Strike. They put an invisible wall there, making it impossible to get under there anymore.

I guess that secondary location will be the new cheese spot from now on.

Other impressions:

They fixed the Ice Breaker's combustion animation. Before, when you killed with the Ice Breaker, the blast was very small and hard to see. Now you can see an explosion just like with other weapons that have the Firefly perk.

I did the Weekly Heroic again to test the Winter's Run, and it was one of the new bounties. The secondary cheese spot still works, and really it's a pretty decent alternative...until they patch it out too of course.

Went to the shader lady to see her new options. She now has 6 shaders instead of 4, but at least 3 of them were ones she already had (can't remember if her old 4th was broadsword or Polar Oak). Anyway, she also now has Thunderdevil, Broadsword, and one that is just a bunch of numbers. You can now preview shaders, which is nice. You can also preview emblems, and see how the whole banner looks. Nice.

Rep Levels are now shown in diamonds instead of circles. (i.e. cryptarch, vanguard, crucible, etc.) Not sure if that really needed to be changed.

Many icons of weapons and armor have been changed to better reflect the look of the armor/weapon. I noticed it on my Titan's Skullfort Helmet, as the icon now looks like the Skullfort.

Re: Bungie - Destiny

I have noticed they added more info regarding light levels and attribute max amounts on armour. They now give you the amount of discipline, intellect, or strength that the specific armour piece can max out at.

Yeah. That's probably the most useful new info. Or at least it would have been before getting to the Raid gear phase

If they do anything to that new spot screw it...I'd rather go and take my chances on a Hard Raid and try and get something worthwhile. On Nightfall that thing is insane just with splash damage alone.

I'd much rather have more available bounties than more bounty slots. I can always come back for more but I never need to because there are only 5 Vangard bounties per day and I usually run through them in about an hour.

Exotic weapon changes

Thorn

Thorn nerfs confirmed as unintended by DeeJ https://twitter.com/DeeJ_BNG/status/534422552550969344
•Thorn DoT reduced from 7 to 3 damage per tick
•Thorn's base damage in PvP reduced from 76 for a head shot to 58

The Last Word
•Damage unchanged, credit to Rozkol http://i.imgur.com/u1e5akv.jpg

Ice Breaker
•Ice Breaker explosion changed to have actual visible explosion now

Pocket Infinity
•Pocket Infinity scope has been changed
•Potential fix for Pocket Infinity slow fire rate - Un-equip and re-equip

Other changes
•Many thumbnails updated, more than mentioned
•Sounds of some weapons have been updated (e.g. Atheon's Epilouge)
•No plus signs when pulling upgraded armour/weapons out of Vault
•Dead Ghosts that were glitched are now fixed, but you need to log in/out to update Grimoire
•Firefly now procs instantly on death by precision damage rather than being delayed several seconds
•Jackolyte/Flight of Shadows fixed for users who couldn't equip them previously
•Being in proximity to a patrol beacon will show mission type without pulling out Ghost
•Stranger's Rifle reloads properly now, like other Pulse Rifles
•Nightfall scaling has been changed. Now harder to solo, easier as a group

Askor fix clarification
•The area nerfed is underneath the platform. Invisible walls block entrance. The cliffs at the start are still viable

Re: Bungie - Destiny

Just did the daily on my third character (and first since the update), and it takes you through the darkened station where one of the glitched ghosts is at. Sure enough, when I went through this time, the dead ghost was right where it was supposed to be.

I also checked the Earth location, but nothing there. It had always said I had 61 anyway. Now I should have all 62! Well, until the DLC opens up anyway...

And from the "Wow that was fast" department...

You can still get under the platform!
