In doing my bounties, I did find that I ran into more public events overall.

However, Earth is no longer has the stable run of events that it did before the update. For example, I just did the Devil Walker at 11:02PM. Normally, the walker would be there at the 11:12 - 11:16 window. I'm sure those public event sites will adjust.

The public events are happening ridiculously more often now. Or maybe I just had an incredibly weird run.

I did a quick patrol on Mars to grab the glitched ghost I was missing. I hit 2 public events on the way from the spawn to the ghost location. I was literally on Mars for 1 minute and already had taken part in 2 events.

I hit 2 public events on the Moon in the time it took me to do 6 patrol missions. I can knock those missions out pretty quickly so I was probably on the Moon for less than 10 minutes. 2 in 10 minutes on the Moon is pretty odd considering I've farmed Helium on many occasions for 45+ minutes and not seen an event happen.

I went to kill 10 Vex ultras on Venus. Yup, public event showed up while I was doing that. Again, wasn't in that location for more than 10 minutes tops.

I'm not joking I probably took part in about 7 public events in an hours time doing miscellaneous tasks on all the planets. It was honestly starting to feel like a nuisance. Everywhere I went there was a public event happening.

Yeah, I felt the say way.

Oh and after running the Nightfall, I can confirm that doing it with 3 is now much easier.

Also, the patch did kill the Sunsinger exploit as chess predicted.

And I got my special reward for having the expansion pass/digital guardian edition: One of those new Sparrows with the flame paintjob. Same speed as the Raid sparrow, less durability, but has the ability to spin in the air.

OK, it's a little late since I had a good run through the Nightfalls and my first Raid, but here's the weekly reset report.

IRON BANNER RETURNS!

The Iron Banner has returned to Destiny, this time in its newly constructed form. Lord Saladin offers two sets of gloves and two sets of boots, which do rank up to level 30, much like Raid gear. The boots unlock at Iron Banner Level 3, while the gloves are at Level 4. They cost close to 10,000 Glimmer each.

He also offers a decent Fusion Rifle at Rank 4, for 11,500 Glimmer. And a Scout Rifle at Level 5 for the same price.

The weekly Heroic/Nightfall is The Devil's Lair, with Arc Burn on both.

Damn, I already have raid boots (two sets actually) and raid gloves. Was hoping they would have chest or helmet gear. Oh well.

Realistically, how long to get a character to "level 4"? Might be worth it for gloves. Or maybe I'll just keep running raids every week to give me something to look forward to getting.

I really like where I'm at with the game. 3 Raids, 3 Nightfalls, 3 Weeklies, check on Xur, maybe an occasional daily or public event. It's pretty low commitment, and it gives me time to check out other games. Both of the PS+ freebies this month are AWESOME by the way.

Will probably be running a normal raid tonight with my 30 Warlock if anybody wants in. Plan to start by 6-7 EST. Somebody has me convinced that armor is more likely to drop if you do a normal raid before hard since it's a smaller loot table. Kind of makes sense.

of course the Iron Banner gloves are level 4 and not 3 since I already have raid boots (2 sets) ..... urghhhhh

well at least I will be starting with the level from the last IB (believe I was lvl 2 where I got my badass Warlock bond)

A long time. You only get XP when you win in Iron Banner. You get a coin if you lose that gets redeemed if and when you finally win, but still you have to win the match to make progress.

Personally I think everything related to PvP in this game is utter garbage. I tried Iron Banner again this morning. We had a full team of 30's. We got wiped by 29's and 28's. The level advantages are a little bit more noticeable than the first time around, but not drastically. And honestly almost everybody playing Iron Banner is in the 29-30 range, so you really won't be getting any advantage anyway.

I might be up for some of that "blah". I have been neglecting it, and it would be good to get some "blah" XP.

Ugh, Iron Banner sounds lame, will skip it. Same as Musick, up for anything tonight but after 1030 CT for me.

The sparrow gift... I bought the physical limited edition with expansion pass but have not redeemed the pass yet, will I still get the sparrow gift?

I just went through a stretch where I was on the losing team 9 times in a row. Meaning I got no Rep in those games, but I got medallions for the first five. I then get to trade those in for rep the next time I win.

And there lies the problem. The whole idea of the medallions were to prevent people from quitting. Yet, 9 losses in a row means I get nothing from the last 4. Stupid.

Pretty productive morning today. Nightfall x2 11 shards, and light beyond nemeis(which i broke down for 2 shards) 2 weeklys, not much there. 1 HM Raid, got the mythoclast and fatebringer alone with another pair of boots that are better then the ones I have.

I didn't get much from my first Raid on normal this week. My 5th Found Verdict, and a chest piece that is worse than my normal legendary chest, which was shocking to me.

I did get the Helm Of Inmost Light on my second Nightfall, which was nice. I now have all the exotic helmets for the Titan and Hunter, and just need Light Beyond Nemesis for the Warlock to complete the set.

Also, I got about 900 Rep on my Level 2 Iron Banner, so I should be able to get the boots soon. Which means I will have a Level 30 character!

Oh, and chess, and really anybody else who wants it, I got a hard save checkpoint at the Oracles. If I'm up and around later I'd love to do a normal Raid, and pass around the Oracle save.

Hopefully I can cross a few things off of my wishlist from the raids this week. With 3 30s, it's all just polish, but this is what I want, more or less in order:

Warlock Raid Gauntlets
Fatebringer (multiples would be nice)
Duplicates of Atheon's Epilogue
Praetorian Foil
Duplicates of Corrective Measure
Titan Raid Helm

And always happy to see another Ice Breaker or Gjallarhorn.

did some drinking last night with friends in the neighborhood and was pretty buzzed when I got home so much so I skipped out on doing my dailies .... I did try to do public events using the website schedule forgetting that the patch revised times these events happened .... from what I remember the event never happened at the time I was looking at where I was at so I just turned off the game and called it a night

Finished my 2nd raid, only thing worth mentioning is I got Red Death out of the chest before the maze. Also had a hell of a time finding a public event today.

Reddit said it's somewhere around 10-18 hours to get to Level 4. Simply not worthwhile for me.

I am out of town for most of next week so my only goal is to get enough Coins to see if I can buy something from Xur this week. Next week I get back really late at night on Saturday, so I will have close to no opportunity to do the weekly, let alone more than once.

My wishlist right now consists of a raid or exotic chest so I can get my primary to 30, and ideally a VoC since I prefer to use Scout rifles. The rest is just getting marks for various legendary heavy weapons to round out my arsenal. I would love to hit 30 before the expansion hits.
