Because on Amazon it says one of the games I want could take extra days to process and one of the others it still lists as being in preorder status with a Friday release date. So I don't want to chance having it arrive from Amazon late.
I went ahead and ordered from Best Buy for store pickup on NBA 2k and Fifa, but had to get Injustice shipped since it isn't available for pickup. Hopefully my order still qualifies for the $25 back.

I think once Friday morning arrives, I'm going to try to stay out of this thread. It's just going to make my day at work feel even longer. I've actually been avoiding most of the videos about the interface. No spoilers for me!

It came out a few days back that the Xbox One wouldn't play 3D Blu-ray discs until an update down the road. Turns out the same is true for the PS4. BD-R/RE XL and BD-RE ver.1.0 discs aren't supported either.

That's actually a bit surprising. Oh well, I'll continue to play them on my HTPC.

Still haven't made my choice on the "Free" game yet on Amazon. It's down to AC: Black Flag or BF4. I really was unsure of the COD and BF4 game because of some of the official reviews I read but found out these were mainly for the 360 & PS3 versions. Not much out there on the PS4 or XBo One. I did find one on Videogamer...

I'm leaning BF4 and probably see me in the role of "Engineer/Mechanic". The only thing with true MP games commitment. I have a few "COD" friends and it's always been five nights a week and maybe one other game to break it up. Don't show up...you fall behind. ight now it would be Killzone, Knack, BF4, Warframe, Resogun and still play Diablo 3 on the 360 with a friend or two. I'll make the choice tonight and FWIW...I'll get my PS4 probably Thursday?Friday next week. Promised the wife to take care of stuff around the house.

If it helps in your decision making process, AC4 will likely be $30-35 by January or so.

Knack seems to generally be getting savaged.

Holy God, I never thought Knack would get THAT low. I expected at least 7s or so. Ugh.

I was thinking 5-6 based on the really shallow gameplay I'd seen.

I think the takeaway here is that the third parties are really where it's at on both consoles. Killzone is reviewing reasonably well, and Forza will too, but everything else looks pretty bad compared to what EA and Ubisoft are doing.

Fairly brutal 5/10 review for Killzone from Polygon. Kotaku sez "don't buy it". Mostly 7s and 8s, though.

Cancelled my order for the camera.

Right now, I'm just getting Killzone, the console, and the goodies that come with that month-long PS+ subscription. I might swing by Target on Friday morning on the offchance I can pick up NBA2K14, Killzone, and Lego Marvel Super Heroes for the B2G1F deal and return my other copy of Killzone back to Amazon.

THAT was a great review and curious what those who have played the other Killzone games might have to say. One of my favorite series was Rainbow Six:Vegas...a good mix of action, stealth and all-out shooter. From the review this does have a element of that which is even better. And from the MP part it's closer to COD than BF4 which probably makes my choice of my "Free" Amazon game being BF4...no sense of having two "COD" style games in the mix.

And the Knack review up at joystiq...I'd like to see the reaction of say a 7-8 year old reading that. This a a kid/family game..not AC, BF4 or GTA for gosh sakes.

For those of you not happy with the review scores many of the games are getting today, but you bought a number of them in the Amazon B2G1 deal yesterday, it looks like you can cancel games but the discount will still be applied to the remaining games. In other words, each game will be $39.99 no matter which ones you cancel. I just canceled Knack and my other two are still at the lower price.

I'm 2 for 2 with game pre-orders so far. FIFA and Killzone are getting good scores. Just waiting on NFS.

Polygon is a joke...the startup was literally funded by Microsoft to the tune of $750K, and Arthur Geis (reviews editor) is about the most unabashed Xbox fanboy in the mainstream gaming press. They'll give XB1 a better review because "reasons" just like they were the only site to recommend CoD on XB1, just like they were the first to defend DRM.

Stick with Giant Bomb, Eurogamer, or hell, even IGN over Polygon.

Guarantee this will be on the low end of the scores, and it might be a complete outlier.

Edit: As a point of reference, these clowns gave Last of Us a 7.5. Its meta is a 96 the last I checked.

But yeah, Knack looks bad. I had a sliver of hope that it might surprise, but it's always looked a bit mediocre to me.

We could be getting Heavenly Sword and Lair all over again. Although these "launch" titles are not the quality that we will see in a few years they are leaps and bounds better in quality and quantity than what we got when the PS3 launched in 2006.

Damn. Only paid $30 for Knack, so I'm sticking with it.

Wow. Pretty surprised at the really bad Knack reviews. I know it kinda sucks and looks current gen, but I was actually hoping it would be fun to play at least. I figured a solid 7/10 across the board

On the other hand, I knew Killzone was terrible first hand and am not surprised at the various poor reviews.
