I really don't care for the UI sounds... sounds weak to me... I would rather have a click or something.

I wonder if you can arrange the tiles how you want to, or if you are stuck with just the single horizontal line... not a big deal, since the 360's game section is like that as well... just gets more cumbersome with the more games you have.

I absolutely do love that you can watch a friends game from the UI to see what is going on prior to joining.

The sounds? Really? If it's anything like PS3, we'll get some themes and they will have sounds of their own.

I think the more pressing question is whether third party games will support the kind of super-convenient drop in and drop out that is shown in the video above.

I imagine that's only if the friend has specifically enabled the option to share his screen, right?

You truly are insane if you think this is true. Killzone can maybe outsell Ryse or at least come close. The other two will destroy it. Outsell all 3 combined? That's impossible. Killzone is a B-C grade shooter like Resistance. PS4 owners will choose CoD and BF4 every single time.

The UI is still cumbersome and the messaging/chat areas are still multiple clicks away, buried in numerous submenus. They really need to ripoff the Xbox 1-2 button presses to message friends and join games/parties.

All it really shows is that Sony is playing offense and is defending absolutely no territories. They'll launch in Japan right after flooding the western markets with product for the holidays.

In contrast, MS is on defense in the NA and British markets and isn't even competing in Japan or a large chunk of Europe.

I'm sure they will release the console at the same time. Unless their market research shows that Japan is not that interested right now in the PS4, so they may concentrate in the USA and Europe.

And 32 vs 13 won't matter to whoever wins in the USA this holiday season.

The last Forza sold about 1.5M in a huge install base. DR2 sold 1.3M on 360, again on a huge install base. Ryse is an unknown commodity that frankly doesn't look that great. Killzone 2 and 3 averaged 2.7M, and PS4 will have a much larger install base than X1, at least early in this generation.

At a minimum, it will outsell any two of the three, and given the install bases over the short term, probably all 3.

I will give you the fact that there are a lot of shooter options this fall...too many, and I'm not buying any of them unless BF4 blows people away.

I really was not. Xbox still seems like the better all-around choice for the first console purchase. In a year or two when the typical 1st party Sony games come out, then it may be worth a purchase.
