Pointless unless you're 5-10 years old. For that group I'm sure this will be a must have for that glowing jack-o-lantern head! I bet my grandson (9) would be all over it if it were to turn up here.

Yes, originally Darklight Crypt was only at TRU (for a month or two I believe) but then went in wide release although it still seemed to be in somewhat short supply.

I found a single copy each of Empire of Ice and Dragon's Peak at the Target here last week. I picked up Dragon's Peak so the grandkids will have a copy at home to use with their DS. All that's left is to score a 2nd Darklight Crypt for them. Looks like another trip to Target is in order.

The one here had all those last week. I almost picked up that Drobot (looks pretty cool) but opted for the Dragon's Peak Adventure Pack instead since there was only 1 of those on the shelf but 5-6 copies of Drobot S2.

This week at target is b2g1 free week so return the dragons peak and rebuy it with 2 more adv packs!

Ooohhh... I forgot about that! They just have to have them in stock...

Stopped by Sam's Club to look for the Darklight Crypt Adventure pack, but still no luck. However, saw that they had a ton of the Halloween Eye-Brawl. Was going to pick it up just because it's a variant but couldn't get over how shoddy it looks. Probably mull it over for a couple of days and will end up getting it anyway.

TRU has 2 for $22 skylanders. I went to buy legos and ended up picking up the ugly pumpkin looking eyebrawl. $10 after the fritolay $1 coupon isn't too bad... I just have to return the second one I bought as I have decided I no longer need to buy 2 of every variant. I doubt we will ever open any of the variants as my daughter doesn't play anymore. They need to stop releasing figures for Giants so I can stop collecting!

I'm not sure if y'all know or not, but for once Skylanders did something different that is actually cool... they are offering different figures in the 3DS version of Swap Force!

So in the 3DS Starter Pack you get Rattle Shake, Free Ranger, and Volcanic Eruptor (variant of Lave Barf Eruptor) and the free Light Core Hex (from Giants).



... and in the console version you get Blast Zone, Wash Buckler, and Ninja Stealth Elf and the free Light Core Hex (from Giants).



Also, TRU has a code (#963284) for 20% a regular priced Skylanders character or set... so I pre-ordered the 3DS version and the Tower of Time Adventure Pack (20% off) w/ free shipping.

I thought the normal edition is $74.99? So it's $25 more... Anyway, I had the dark edition pre-ordered from GS I'm planning to use the $10 coupon from the Frito-Lay chip promo.

Is there a compilation of Swapforce? Besides all pre-orders getting the Hex lightcore figure for free, it seems TRU and GS got "better" deals.

GS - Exclusive DARK edition, $100, not exactly a deal per se, but it comes with FIVE variant figures.
TRU - $75 normal edition, free Swapforce figure of your choice.
Walmart - ?
Target - ?

Amazon has the worse deal... Not only the Hex figure will not be shipped with the game (for pre-orders), you will be given promo codes to "purchase" the Hex figure after your Swapforce game is shipped. I only pre-ordered from Amazon because of the 20% discount, which came out to be $65 with taxes. Of course, you can't use the Frito-Lay $10 off coupon (is there a way to use manufacturer's coupon on Amazon?).

^Well... the closest TRU to my house is ~80 miles and they mail you a coupon to redeem for the free figure. Sounds like it may be limited to in-store for that one.

Checking the TRU website, I don't see any wording about any special deal with the new game launch. Is there any signage in-store? I'd prefer to buy elsewhere if this promo is not the case (And it'll take more than a mention on the TRU France Facebook page to convince me otherwise)

I was at Target at lunch today. They have begun to get ready for Swap Force by adding to the Portal display the two swapable figures that come with the console version of the game. The bases are fixed and the tops are secured with a wire, allowing you to swap them without putting them on the base. The magnets are strong and easy to swap, FWIW.

Hoot Loop shows up for $14.96 in the "recently viewed items" section once you look at another item. It goes into the cart at $99.96.

It's also interesting that it shows this to be a WM "exclusive" since Amazon also has it listed (I hate how the amazon links on these don't really work properly). No price yet and you can't order until the 13th but it's there.

It showed up at $15 for me ($16 and change with free shipping).
