Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Finally 100% this game tonight. Took forever. Probably won't play it again til game of the year edition comes out. As far as orange weapons go i had only found 2 in my first playthrough. Don't even recall the first one must have sold it without thinking as i had the badass rank point for orange but never saw an orange weapon. The second was The Warrior. He dropped this awesome orange shotgun. It was kind of hidden i has to crawl under his dead body to find it. Now i have over 20 orange weapons as i join in with people who have hacked backpacks full of stuff.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I don't know if I'll 100% it, but Terramorphous is my bitch...beat him twice tonight. I think I got one orange weapon in my first playthrough (not including Terramorphous), and I've seen 2 or 3 in vault hunter mode.

My latest observation is that the further you get in the game, the less effective elemental weapons are. In the last game, i couldn't be bothered with anything that didn't have fire or acid, and in this one I followed the same pattern until I was most of the way through the first playthrough and hit a brick wall. My favorite guns right now are almost all Torgue.

I also redid my skill tree when I got the Terramorphous class mod for my siren, and her "Ruin" skill is just...damn.

it does...

I did everything with my Axton character, including the gamestop dlc (which actually got me a level or 2)...and I ended my first play at level 34 and 1/2 or so...

Just finished my first run with my Salvador.. I am sort of in a hurry to get to level 50 with a character, and waiting on my coop friends is taking forever, so my son and I just burned through the main missions toward the end. I skipped at least 20 side missions..maybe more... and I finished at...wait for it....one bar away from level 34...so the 20 extra missions ended up netting me a bit over half a level...

I find this sort of frustrating...

The good thing is...skipping the side missions on True vault hunter we are already almost level 40....We are also finding True Vault Hunter to be very easy, but I am sure it is going to get harder...

I wish Terramorphous was my bitch.

Actually, I haven't even attempted him yet because I know I wouldn't stand a chance with my Assassin. He kinda sucks. I mean, it's good for the majority of the game because you can melee 5 or 6 at a time or snipe from a good distance... but once you get to a boss, melee-ing is useless. And the sniper rifle is just too slow for enemies with insane amounts of HP.

If I'm gonna take him on solo, I think I'm gonna have to finish the game with one of my other characters.

I get that it's frustrating, but I understand why they did it. For matchmaking purposes, you want players with similar levels to be near each other in the game.

For what it's worth, I hit level 50 about 2/3 of the way through the second playthrough. I think I'm going to sit on that character and wait for them to raise the level cap...unless I see some verification that your XP is still being counted.

The good thing is...skipping the side missions on True vault hunter we are already almost level 40....We are also finding True Vault Hunter to be very easy, but I am sure it is going to get harder...
I found TVH mode to be very frustrating playing it solo...until I figured out that I just had to use the new weapon drops.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

From what I learned from finishing round 2, any other characters I use from here out will be strictly story missions only in TVHM. Like I mentioned earlier, after you beat the warrior for the 2nd time, ALL enemies (and remaining side missions) are upped to level 50. It's essentially playthrough 2.5. That means the weapons you get from them are also level 50. A lvl 50 Twin Teapot from Tiny Tina could be pretty badass. My problem is I already did all the side missions with my assassin (except for one) in TVHM.

But I went back to Frostburn Canyon and picked up that free blue SMG that's sitting in a puddle near where the spiderants are, and sure enough, lvl 50. It's probably one of the best non-elemental SMG's in the game, IMO. And you don't have to do anything to get it.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

yea, i'm waiting to do any side missions on TVH mode until after i beat the game (i'll call that playthrough 2.5 )

i just beat playthrough 1 with my assassin, going to start a commando next. that turret is just silly.

and soloing with an assassin is REALLY hard, even though i do a boat load of crit dmg

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I need help: I finished the "Capture the Flags" mission and it says "TURN IN." I'm supposed to turn it in to Brick in Sanctuary, which is where the travel maps tells me to go. But when I get to Sanctuary, there is now glowing diamond, and nowhere to turn the mission in. I go where Brick normally is and he's not there. I've done 4-5 missions since and no matter what I cannot turn it in. What am I missing?
Thanks~

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I hit level 50 last night with my first character (Maya). Pretty fun, I leveled up very quickly through 47 to 50 playing through the 5 rounds of the Circle of Slaughter in Eridium Blight.

I immediately went and used 10 of my golden keys, a good range of weapons, all better than what I had. A ridiculous shield (Its recharge rate = Overall Shield Amount, so 1 second to fill from empty). And 2 Commando Level 50 Class Mods

Some stuff was meh, there were a lot of boxes with like 2 pistols, one clearly better than the other. But I am now using a ridiculous E-Tech Sniper Rifle, E-Tech Pistol, Purple Rocket Launcher and Purple SMG with Corrosive

Probably just a glitch. Have you tried exiting the game and coming back? It might just clear itself up.

Or did you possibly advance the main story mission to a point where Brick isn't available right now to turn it in to?

It's pretty unenjoyable at this point.
I got a lot of good stuff by killing bunker a bunch of times. Can you kill it by yourself? If so, just do that for a couple of hours and see what you get.

claptrap's ship is on the ice in the big bay. it will take you back to three horns - divide or whatever gets you to sanctuary.

It was really just dumb luck that I had the right character (Siren with Ruin skill for slag) and that the second orange gun I got out of a random chest was just the right one to beat him. The gun is the Hyperion Conference Call, which shoots in a way I can barely describe...like it swipes horizontally across the screen. It's perfect for taking out his tentacles, and if you want, I can dupe it for you.

There are a couple of youtube videos that show the 3 spots to run to depending on what he's doing. It's still damn hard, but it's probably worth it just for the class mod you get...it's pretty ridiculous.

I could also come in with you and hide in this spot he can't get to. I can't hit him either, but my being there allows you to keep your damage done. It might take you a few lives, but it will be worth it.

Tried the first, but the second may be what happened. Jumped on with some friends wherever they were and maybe advanced too far, which apparently is possible? Will Brick ever come back to so I can turn the mission in? I think the next storyline mission is "End This," so......... Thanks

I'm only level 35 and just a little bit into playthrough 2. I need to get that gun when I can use it as well as the shield that says it goes well with the Conference Call weapon. The shield is The Bee which is obtained from the Radio station mission in the desert area. I can't recall the exact name but it was one of the last areas in the game before completing the story missions.

ok.

do i go all the way back to Flynt's Dragon ship or is it accessed some easier way, bc Flynt's ship is a long way from Liar's Berg where i keep starting from?

i'm trying to follow the map as well but it shows the access point somewhere in the bay i guess and can't seem to get there...

I feel the same way sometimes. Great example yesterday, I died about 12-15 times going after the 4 Assassins in the factory that's near Sanctuary. A few of those times were probably just figuring out each assassin. But over half of those were respawning enemies. Back up just a little to go after the boss and then all like RESPAWN and then I die my little pathetic death.

When I finally finished it, I do admit I felt like I accomplished something. I got two levels while in there and finished all four optional objectives. So on that note, it felt worth it. But jimmnie, the anguish to get there was a bit frustrating. I think for about a level, I'm just going to farm to get some money back.

We'll be on around 10 central with our Mechromancers and will probably attempt the "Slaughter House" since it's Level 19 and I'm close to Level 21 already. o if anyone has one and wants to join just check and see if we're doing it or not.

Got to play with two yesterday for awhile with Mechromanacers who were one and two levels below. It was pure insane action on the screen to the point I almost couldn't make who or what was going on. Cannot wait for all three slaughter domes with three or even four of her.

I appreciate it, but Chase3001 (RoyFurious) just hooked me up big time. I took him to the Creature Slaughter Dome, and he gave me the Conference Call AND Bee Shield (both lvl 50s). Between the two of us, we literally beat Terramorphous in 10 seconds. Just ridiculous.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

level 45...blowing through this new game plus mode...Salvador is a God...My mod gives me health regeneration..."Hard to kill" is level 8 with the mod and that also gives health regen...I am Juggernaut is level 8 which gives 32% damage reduction..."Aint got time to bleed" gives a huge bonus to health regen while gunzerking...."sexual tyrannosaurus" gives another big bump to health regeneration...at level 45 I have 40,000 hit points... if my health is all the way down it takes maybe 30 seconds to fill up...hit gunzerk and it comes all the way back..but even if it drains while gunzerking, all those health regeneration skills stack so that it takes maybe 5 seconds tops to refill 40,000 hit points if I am being shot (triggers sexual Ty) and gunzerking....but even if that fails...I can always pull out "come at me bro" which gives full health back and almost total damage reduction..

at this point my missions all say tough or impossible, but I continue to blow through the main missions. I might not even hit 50 by the end the way I am playing...

Finally beat the Warrior yesterday on the first playthrough. I was definitely there too early and had to do it in a cheap way, but didn't feel like going back through the level again at the time.

We didn't have time for the 'Slaughter House" in the Fridge last night. My coop partner didn't get on till about the time I was getting off. So if anyone has a Mechromancer or any other character around Level 18-21 and is near the "Fridge" missions you're more than welcome to come on board...about 10PM Central.

I guess I was lucky, in my first playthrough, received an orange weapon really early in the game.
