Got my first orange drop yesterday. A shield for level 18. Has over 3500 capacity with a quick recharge. Reduces health by like 500 but that doesn't matter. Thing is very OP.

Spoiler:
Bloodwing
kicked my ass last night.

I was too tired, it was around 1 am, been up since 5 am, so a long day. But still, around 30 minutes trying to pass that part.

Just checked a video in IGN and there's no secret LOL!

Thanks for posting those codes! I was able to grab a key. Which file are your keys saved under? Are they in the profile save or the character save?

They are accessible across all characters your profile creates.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I figured out that if you backup your settings save it will save whatever keys you have at that time. Then you can re-copy that save and get all of your keys back. I only have one key so I just copy my settings save back each time I load my game so that I can visit the box at least once each gaming session.

A damn fine Rescue

This game has gotten riiculously hard for me. I cannot kill w4r-d3n. I must've died about 50x and lost most of my money. I have a corrosive sniper weapon but they spawn so much stuff at me, I run out of ammo before i can even attack him. There needs to be an option to lower the difficulty level.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I really believe tha gearbox made this game to lean more in co-op play than single player. I know some are doing great and fine but in some areas having that second or third person makes a big difference. Plus they wouldn't have put so many relics and mods in the game that's "Team Base".

We did the "Caustic Caverns" for the body parts the other night and frankly alone it would've been a chore and time nightmare. The friend I did it with had don alone and afterward said going thru with someone else was twice as fast with twice the drops and reward and a tad more harder. He had Team Critical Hit on and I had Team Health using Transfusion grenades. I've probably played about 75% co-op and 25% single player.

I've gotten that same feeling the more that I've played. Now that I'm at Level 27, I no longer feel like I'm cheating when I deploy my rocket-launching turret. It feels like the only way to keep the game from becoming too frustrating for me.

You on PS3 or 360? You could always invite someone that is a higher level than you are to help you whip it in seconds.

4. Save and exit second player

Definitely works on PS3, as I've done it plenty, and there are youtube vids showing it work on 360. Just never open the box with player one.

It's actually kind of hilarious as you end up with a pile of purple weapons in that room because you only keep the ones you really really want.

Hope that helps somebody.
Tried doing this tonight but it didn't work. Do the characters have to be on different accounts? I did it on one account... So my first character (my level 9 assassin) was tlwizard81 and then I brought in my second character (my level 17 Siren) as tlwizard81(1). But when I had my second player go up to the gold box, it said I did not have any golden keys. Only thing I can think is that they need to be on separate accounts? Or maybe I brought in my second character incorrectly?

Yes you need a separate account. Full walkthrough on how to do it:

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Odd...mine are on the same account, and as best I can tell, it doesn't matter how I bring the other player in as long as controller one doesn't open the box. I farmed for about 45 minutes last night, and I had the silliest pile of purple on screen. You have to take the crap out of the gold box, or it won't close, so I had it all discarded on the right side. Edit...dude on video makes it look more complicated than it is. My player one never moves, and it's 10 button presses between cycles to bring in player 2.

On another note, I finished the game last night. Even with a few overpowered weapons, the game got REALLY frustrating toward the end with a ton of instant deaths. You're literally getting nuked at a few points, and don't even get me started on suicide bombers. That said, I thought the ending was pretty epic. If you find a good fireproof shield along the way, I recommend keeping it.

Also, whatever weapons you think are pretty badass from playthrough one are INSTANTLY worthless in vault hunter mode. The difficulty ramps up pretty quickly, but so do the weapon drops. You also seem to level just as quickly in round 2 as you did in round one. I bumped up five levels just getting to sanctuary.

Finally, I wish the original vault hunters weren't so ingrained in the story, because I'd probably pay a few bucks to play Lileth in this world as DLC. She's still the most fun to play from either game.

i am shocked at how much trouble i am having with this game solo. i am usually very good a difficult games, but this one is kicking my butt. Maybe it is because I haven't played FPS' on a regular basis since last year. Maybe I am just extremely rusty. I die all the freaking time

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I was doing pretty good and hardly dieing, until the "event", then, I started dieing over and over until I got "back to my friends". I had almost $50K, which whittled down to nothing. It's just a weird ramping of difficulty. Maybe I had guns/sheilds that were awesome for levels 1-15, but bad guns/sheilds for levels 15-20. All I know is that the threshers are a pain in the ass. I have NO problems taking on bosses and bigger enemies - my problem seems to be when I get over-run by multiple (10 or more) enemies at once. And this is happening more and more now.
