That's actually a good question - does somewhat appear to be a pre-order only thing.

^^ There's no way that's just a pre-order bonus. I'm assuming it just unlocks it early... that said, I'm still pre-ordering thru Amazon (assuming a $20 credit).

That was pretty cool. I was thinking about how dumb it looked to have all that stuff falling and almost on cue he asks "how much shit was in that plane?"

Second game is great, never played the first (as it didn't come out on PS3), didn't feel like I was missing much.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

I loved the first game but didn't care much for the second. The missions in the second one weren't as exciting and the cool little things you could do outside of missions, like insurance fraud, got old fast.

I agree with this. I loved them at first but dare I say the "difficulty" of them is what made them old too fast. I don't mind putting a little effort in but when it's distracting me from looking at some of the mayhem I'm causing....then I do have a problem with it.

With that said, the fight club challenges seemed pretty easy and I really loved those but they are not returning in SR3.

nope...I found the driving to be just fine...

I played the second game first...loved the hell out of it...One of the best open world games I have ever played.

Went back to play the first one...and while it is dated, still had a blast with it...I would play 1 first if I had a chance to do over since the games are connected.....

Re: Saints Row: The Third

Maybe I should go back and play the first. I only played the second and loved it. This game looks insane, but I guess Eliza Dushku didn't want to come back to play Shaundi.

i think my problem was not using the handbrake (LT) when i first popped it in. will try that now and think it will be easier to control. thanks.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

I thought San Andreas was really fun, but I thought GTA4 was a huge step backwards. "Realistic" driving physics is not what I want in a game of this type. I want to pull on the handbrake and powerslide around corners. Not spin out, hit a pole, get stuck, blah blah blah.

The driving is why I quit on GTA 4 after a few hours. terrible.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

Agree with all of this. Though I loved Saints Row 2, it built upon the first game and made it more insane. I thought all the side missions were pretty fun. I ended up pre-ordering this today cause I got an Amazon GC.

Cannot wait.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

Now, if they would update the PS3's version of Saints Row 2 with trophies I would go back and play it again.

Re: Saints Row: The Third

This game looks sick. The only thing that annoys me is that extreme mega violence is OK, but God forbid we see some T&A uncensored.
