Saints Row: The Third Launches Gangstas in Space DLC This Week

The new DLC for Saints Row: The Third has been revealed. Called “Gangstas in Space,” it will hit tomorrow, Feb 21st.
“From the visionary mind of big-shot Hollywood director Andy Zhen, the Saints are back once again to complete the final scenes for their future blockbuster, Gangstas In Space,” says the official website.
“Starring the Boss and introducing Jenny Jaros as Princess Kwilanna, you’ll experience action, drama, blow-up dolls, and one hell of an alien invasion through a series of new missions."
Sounds just as ridiculous, and possibly just as hilarious, as the game’s previous DLC then. It will cost $6.99, or nothing if you have the Season Pass.

Same here - kinda funny how boring this game got for me...it was still a blast and off the wall but man......it lost so much damn steam - ha, people ribbbed on GTA IV for not having anything to do - this one has even less.
I still love it though - it is pretty goofy and I might rebuy it for this DLC but not sure yet.

I actually just started this game last month though, and still haven't finished the campaign, so (apart from the fact that I know I paid extra for it) because I'm still playing, I don't think I feel as let down by the length as someone who's finished everything and is popping it in just for the DLC might.

I feel like an idiot... I paid for the season pass but still haven't played any DLC and I'm not sure I even want to.

I can't click the link at work. Do we need the disc to play? Cuz I was considering selling it off, but I'll keep it around if I need it.
Also, for 30 bucks I hope theres a hell of a lot more playtime than the 3-4 hours that I got out of the season pass.

Remember THQ's April Fool's joke? it wasn't a joke at all. The publisher announced the standalone Saints Row: The Third expansion Enter The Dominatrix is really coming this fall.
Arriving on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC for $29.99, this expansion adds "the most requested gameplay features" from the Saints Row community: freaking super powers.
“Faster than a speeding cyber jetbike, more powerful than a roided-out Luchadore, able to leap flying aircraft carriers in a single bound… That’s the power you’ll find inside the Dominatrix. Use it for good. Use it for evil. Use it for whatever you want. As always in Saints Row, it’s up to you,” said Danny Bilson, EVP of core games at THQ.
Enter The Dominatrix takes place after the events of Saints Row: The Third. Here's a quick rundown of the plot:
For centuries, alien warlord Zinyak has eyed Earth and its precious natural resources and females with a watchful eye. As he prepares an armada for invasion, he has only one worry: the Third Street Saints.Once a simple street gang from Stilwater, the Saints have evolved into a global empire, replete with bombastic TV advertising and tasteful consumer products, the kind of TV advertising and consumer products that would give any alien warlord pause. Clearly, the Saints are the biggest badasses on Earth.
Now, in order to prepare his forces for domination, Zinyak captures the leader of the Saints and imprisons him in an elaborate virtual reality simulation. This simulation program looks and feels like Steelport, but it is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth. Here, you are a slave. Welcome… to the Dominatrix.
Expect to hear more about Enter The Dominatrix later this summer

Re: Saints Row: The Third
Thanks for the repost. Guess it doesn't answer my questions. If it's not coming until fall, maybe I'll just sell it off anyway, and hope I can pick a used copy up on the cheap if I need it later.

Further clarification:
To be extra extra clear, THQ explained to us that Enter the Dominatrix is a standalone "boxed retail product" that can be played without owning the original Saints Row: The Third disc. It will be available solely at retail (on disc) at launch this fall.

Cool. Hope we can import our characters from SR3 though, I'd rather not create someone from scratch again.
Also, since this takes place after SR3, I wonder if this will provide any clarification on which ending was the "canon" ending, or if it will avoid the topic

Re: Saints Row: The Third
I finally played the 2nd and 3rd DLC packs over the weekend. As others have said, they're quite a bit better than the 1st DLC pack. I even decided to wrap up the remaining side missions from the main game after wrapping up the DLC, so now I think I might be done with the game, unless I decide to go for some of the easy achievements that I haven't earned yet.
