I would probably do that too, even if the bundle weren't out until Jan-Feb.

I only say "probably" because for some reason, I'm more excited for PS4 than I have been for any console in a long time. It's tough to say whether it's because the PS4 looks so great or maybe because the PS3 had so many issues, but I'm ready to jump in.

I need a bigger memory card and cheaper too... As of now, I'm buying physical copies of Vita game, I have no room on the memory card. Those free PS+ games are just waiting for me to load them on the memory card one at time, lol. Currently trying to plat Zero Escape then move on to Dragon's Crown (got the physical copy).

I bit early on a 32gb card, and have had no problems with space. its worth it, and will be all you need. I buy/play everything digitally, unless there's a great sale on physical.

I have a 32GB and a 8GB both are filled with free games from PS+.

So for me, no 32GB is not all I would need.

The new update really helps. I never deleted game data because your save would be gone too. You can easily upload saves to the cloud (for PSN+ users), so I'll start deleting games after I finish them to make room for new downloads.

You've been able to upload saves to the cloud from Vita for several months now, they just made it easier to manage in the new firmware.

For those of us who don't need to play 20+ games concurrently, you can transfer games & data back & forth to your computer.

$200 at Target next week.

As a side note, I shudder to think at how much money Disney Infinity is going to make.

Really? I had always used the content manager to back up my saves before this new update. Either way, it's a welcome addition.

do you need a memory card if you just plan to buy the physical copies of vita games?

re: Official PS Vita / PlayStation TV Thread

yes, or at least the 1 physical game I have needed it (MLB Show 12)

Yeah, at least a small (4GB) one to store game data. It's absurd it doesn't have any on-board memory and doesn't come standard with one, but you can find a small one cheap as people tend to want bigger ones.

Just to clarify, this is the August 18th Target ad. We're still a week away from the discounted Vitas.

This week it's the Nintendo 3DS XL for $175.

Correct, and thanks for clarifying...would hate to have people driving around on my account.

The Sams Club I was at last night had the Vita marked down to $199. So maybe there is a price drop coming soon?

re: Official PS Vita / PlayStation TV Thread

I'd bet on Gamescom. It's usually the big show for the PSP/Vita anyway, and the timing is right for the Sam's/Target "sales".

I could see $199 being kind of a magic number for Vita.

As I posted in the PSN thread, there are some hot deals on downloadable Vita titles from Japan (including Soul Sacrifice and Muramasa Rebirth, which are the two most recent "Major Releases" for the Vita.
Details here.

Too bad the memory cards are so expensive, it makes theses sorts of sales far less exciting knowing there's no space to download these games.

I'm sort of hoping that it doesn't do as well as planned and we see these figures discounted sooner than later. Maybe then I will pick up a copy of the game. However, I just can't get too excited about riding around with Jack Sparrow on a bike. Am I wanting to play a video game or just wanting to see Disney characters in a video game?

There's a LittleBigPlanet/Minecraft style creation element to Disney Infinity too. It could be neat. I haven't really paid that close attention.

Holy crud, $35 bucks for a two pack plus extras?

Oh wait, this is the Vita thread. Can't wait for Dragon's Crown to get here (and I would have bought it digital if I didn't already run out of room on the biggest memory card they offer).

Yeah, didn't mean to change the subject...just saw that in the ad and had to pause for a moment to consider the potential ongoing revenue stream for "Skylanders with Disney characters".

Just imagine if they bring in Star Wars and Marvel characters.

I would buy it for that, but would only buy the Star Wars figures.

Wow, this sale is pretty awesome. Too bad I own most of the titles, but I'm in for Muramasa and a couple of others. Still no space, though, time to upload some saves and delete.
