The Skype stuff is really cool news. Hopefully it can work in the background while I game...I'll just have to be careful not to shout things like "newb camper!" in business meetings.

Microsoft just released 10 new DLC unlock keys for Kinectimals for new cat types. As far as I can tell, they've been on the disc since it released 6 months ago. Maybe these were once-exclusive tie-ins, I haven't kept up.

It looks cool, but like I said in the Child of Eden thread, do you really think it's worth $50? It looks like an XBLA game. How much gameplay could you really expect to get out of it? The days of paying full price for basically an arcade game are over. I'll grab it at $20, but at $50 I can't imagine many people picking it up.

I totally agree, HOWEVER... Rez HD is my second favorite XBLA game to Pac-Man: CE. It has tons of replay value and I expect this will be the same.
Also Josh has confirmed on CAG that K-mart will have a deal on it.

We all knew it deep down, but we just couldn't put our finger on it. Give Nyko credit -- they not only diagnosed the problem : The Kinect is nearsighted, they came up with a solution as well.
Nyko is showing off gadgets and gizmos aplenty at E3 this year - sadly, the Wii Party Station won't be one of them (and still isn't slated for production). The company's E3 2011 lineup does include accessories like the "Zoom for Kinect," a clip-on lens which supposedly allows those with smaller living spaces to use the Kinect, reducing the distance required by "up to 40%."

Vote for the next addition to Kinect Fun Labs! (Voting = clicking the Like button).
I went with Hand Puppets because I think it has the most potential for a solid 6 or 7 minutes of fun, even though that particular demonstration sucks badly. Keyboard Anywhere is way ahead in the voting for now, though.

Kinect Fun Labs is such a failure. Unusably slow and senseless to navigate. My kids got annoyed with it very quickly. Maybe drop the "Fun" from the title because it's anything but. "Kinect Labs" fits better since it's as fun as having bloodwork done.

Not to put a lot of effort into defending it, but I've gotten at least a few minutes of (free!) entertainment out of the 4 apps released so far. Gets old quick though, and the navigation is indeed terrible.

Finally hopped on last night to get the 50 achievement points. Pretty lame. Turning you into an Avatar seems pretty cool, but the photo crap was terrible with all the limited movement. You can effectively do about 6 poses.
I did find if funny that my close cropped beard somehow came across as a porn stache on my Avatar.
