its worth getting Shadowmere from the Dark Brotherhood...as far as I can tell she can not be killed...can climb mountains you can not....and is very aggressive...

I believe companions followers can only be killed by you or by collateral damage (falling, explosions, etc).

Yes. She's fucking awesome. She climbed up a bunch of stairs at one of the crypts going after dudes that were coming at me. It was hilarious. She's super cool.

Unfortunately a few days ago I got a new named horse and, as I understood it, it should've put Shadow back in a stable but she has yet to show back up. x 100

Just the fact that you can fight a Dragon as a werewolf, and that it's completely optional, makes this the greatest game ever.

I'm playing on pc so Steam auto updates is there a way to turn off auto-update?

What point of the process can you get shadowmere?

and she probably has the best introduction of any character in the game...

Also, I still have her...but superfro...did you try going to Fort Farragut? I think that is where she stays when you are not using her....

He likes it, but his criticisms are valid.

I had a hard time with him, and I didn't have many healing potions, so I was goint to give up and come back. Then I used the slow time shout as soon as he shut up, got to him before him moved, killed him in 3 or 4 hits before he had a time to do anything.

Lost my last 20 or so manual saves somehow, I'm assuming it's the new patch. Auto saves are still there fortunately.

I'm not touching this update. Hopefully the next one comes soon (to patch the patch).

I downloaded it without knowing there were problems. What are people saying?

None of the "resistance" stuff works anymore.

Dragons flying backwards, getting stuck in mountains, and doing other weird things.

Lots of other random glitches/bugs (some that make the game almost unplayable) that were never reported before, so it can be assumed they started with the arrival of the new patch.

I never had any problems with version 1.1 or whatever it was before. I wish they'd just put that one back up as an update.

Can you explain what you maen by resistance stuff not working anymore? Does this mean that my frost resistance, or frost resistance potion won't prevent frost damage?

I was fighting a frost dragon last night, and he was tearing me apart, it seemed like the frost resistance wasn't helping at all.

Yeah, from what I understand that's exactly what it means.

It seems dragons are much tougher in general after the update, as well.

That's actually good. I was thinking dragons were a little too easy.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- November 2011

I imagine the dragons are tougher simply because resistances are broken, and because elemental attacks are a big part of what they do.

This also isn't the only time I've heard about this happening because of the patch. A number of people have reported the exact same issue on the Bethesda forums. So, beware of the patch. (For me, that goes without saying when it's a newly-released Bethesda game.)

They are totally easy. The game previews all made it seem like there'd be these epic battles and it's really not the case.

I dunno. I never have any resistances and I can stand in the frost breath or fire and just shoot arrows.

I'd like to know this as well. I'm at work, but I'm afraid I'm going to get home to find the game patched.
