Currently slated for November 11th, 2011, as announced at the Spike Video Game Awards. Words can't fully embody my excitement for another Elder Scrolls experience.

When I bought it Oblivion it was during a Spring Break so I enjoyed having a week to play.
Skyrim coming in November will be a little rougher.

I played Oblivion on a computer and it was great but the leveling system was profoundly broken. I hated it and did a mod ASAP. If I had to play on a console it would have ended up in the trash.
I gave up computer games so it's console or nothing. I may buy it eventually but only after reading lots of reviews and certainly not at launch.

Oh god, I have to change my pants.
I've spent more time on Oblivion than on any other single game I've ever played. Hundreds upon hundreds of hours easily. I will be buying this day one. Sorry Uncharted 3.

I don't think so. We hear about new consoles far enough in advance that it's extremely unlikely. This generation is lasting longer. I'd like to start hearing something soon, but I don't expect the next consoles until 2012, maybe even later.

Well, after 5 and a half years, I'd expect a new engine.
I may also get this on the PC, because as good as these games are, they have a lot of bugs, and patches don't fix some of them. On the PC, there may be unofficial patches released by the community.

I may also buy a game guide for the first time ever with this game.
