You can set them as a filter, but that's not nearly as convenient as seeing a little icon next to the song title.
And no, I'm not seeing any indicators in the song info section.

I wonder what the Rock Band store is going to say about "Blood Sugar Sex Magic (Full Album)" Almost the full album except the first single?

The loss of the RHCP song is definitely my least liked lost song, specifically because it's part of a full album which I have downloaded. Guess I'll be hanging on to RB2.
After playing Moonage Daydream and Heroes again, I've decided we need all of Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, and Diamond Dogs on RB3 ASAP and then all of Low, Heroes, and Lodger on RB3 with pro keyboards.

Losing Journey sucks. Also, the AC/DC song? Really? That was the song in EVERY commercial for RB2. I don't want the shitty live version. Boo.
So far this morning, locally, RB3 has been a total fail. Was in Target last night and was told to come back at 8am and they'd have more than enough of everything for everyone. Came back, they had one 360 bundle. That's it. Was there with an elderly woman who got an email from Target at 3am saying that the PS3 bundle she'd reserved for her grandson for Christmas had been cancelled. No explanation. I filled her in on what I knew, the employees were of no help, and of course they had nothing to give her. No PS3 games or instruments. She was almost in tears, but said she had a back up plan to check Gamestop at 10am. I hope her day gets better.
Drove to Wal Mart, and they had nothing. Clerk said they hadn't even received shipment, and even when they do, they won't be carrying 360 keyboards.
Drove back to the Kmart where I almost had success last week. Same manager who cockblocked me said that they'd sold out. I asked when, and was told "over the weekend". WTF?
Came to work and went back to my original plan of reserving it at Best Buy for in-store pickup tonight. Says they have them in stock... we shall see. Now I have to sit here all day and refresh the forums and rockband.com.

I'm really going to miss Spoonman and Battery on drums. Both were a helluva lot of fun.
The Journey exclusion is odd, but I've got to believe it's due to a revamp for Pro and keys.

It reminds me of the kind of stuff they added into the last Guitar Hero that everybody shit all over for increasing the stars you could get per song. It's essentially the same thing here. (And a thing I like btw.)
Is it an optical illusion or are the notes smaller? Everything looks like it did with Beatles. I'm sure I'll get use to it, but I'm not a fan of change and at this point much prefer the look of RB2 when paying attention to the note paths.
Character animations looked tits though.

Did everyone use the same calibration settings from Rock Band 2? I remember the same settings did not translate from RB 1 to RB 2.

Played a few songs this morning on keyboard. Going to take some getting used to that instrument.
In a Big Country and Everybody Wants to Rule the World were very fun.
Playing Foolin by Def Leppard was awesome. The game needs more DL and now. Pour Some Sugar on Me (non-live), Photograph, Rock of Ages at the very least.

Seconded. Actually as much as I like being able to sort, and all the info that is listed with the songs in the menu, I do find it to be pretty clunky to get around. I'm sure I'll get use to it.

Swear I chose release day shipping from Amazon, but it says mine will be delivered Oct 27th.
Very bummed about the Journey song not making it on the export. Did I miss the export price?

Don't forget if you ordered from Amazon you get a $10 credit. Xbox 4000 point cards are $47.54 right now and my promo code just arrived, so I ordered one for $37.54.

Re: The Official Rock Band Thread of Music Game Evolution
Regarding Beatles songs ever coming to RB3, I wonder if HMX is thinking of releasing a RB Beatles 2 with all the songs/albums not released in RBTB or on RBTB DLC. I know it costs more money to create Beatles DLC than it does with modern songs, but perhaps it could be a possibility someday? That way they can:
1. put a Beatles game back on the shelves soon after TBRB falls off the clearance racks. This keeps Beatles Rock Band fresh with the non-export contract in place.
2. add RB3 features to a few Beatles songs that need harmony, pro tracks, and keys.
3. resale to all the Beatles fans who don't normally play RB.
I don't know how many other Beatles albums are out there that weren't in RBTB (White Album, Help!, Revolver, Yellow Submarine, etc) but surely enough to fill another game's worth of content.

I still think they should do The Beatles: Rock Band: The White Album+, with The White Album and singles.

My Amazon order for the Wii keyboard bundle still says Not Yet Shipped with expected delivery of Oct 28. If I look at the item though, it says "Usually ships within 3-5 weeks"...

Well, I was just headed to lunch to grab my copy at K-mart and tornado sirens started going off. Meteorologists are telling people to seek shelter.
Hmm... do I go anyway? I'm less afraid of the tornado but more afraid of being stuck in a K-mart.

If you are having an issue with Rock Band 3 crashing, turn off the "Recommended Songs" option until the fix goes live. (via @HMXHenry)
