I guess I'll be waiting, at least a bit. The guiter is in stock at the closest Best Buy, but the midi adapter is nowhere to be found at BB, Amazon, etc.

I just got back from Best Buy. I went to the instruments aisle first, because it is just past the doors. They had 1 midi controller for each console and 1 Squire mixed in with the other guitars. I didn't check the video games section to see if they had more in stock. Now I'm at work counting down the hours until I get to play.

The website listed the guitar as backordered and the midi controllers as unavailable.

You wanna go back and pick up that 360 MIDI adapter for me? :) I'll pay you back, plus a little extra.

I've got a Squier with no MIDI adapter sitting in my closet now. What kind of fucking release is this where you can buy something you can't even properly use?

I just made one last ditch effort. I called my closest Best Buy and politely asked them if they (or any stores in the area) had any. They said no one did, and you couldn't order it online. I then informed her that BestBuy.com would say a store didn't have one if they had less than 3 in stock, and so I guess she checked their internal system and said they got in ONE today, and now it's on hold for me. Wooooo!

Friend of mine that's a manager at a BB here in OKC picked a guitar up yesterday. Said they got in three. His employee discount was around $220.

And he said he's having problems with it. Something about the E5 not registering.

Word on the street is that it's a Best Buy-exclusive through March.

I'm itchy enough now to be willing to pay full price at Best Buy, but I'd have to make a 3 hour round trip to the nearest store that's listed as having one in-stock. :D Oh well. I'll live if I have to wait till April.

Against my better judgment, I bought the Strat today. I love it! I have numb fingertips and a strong desire to learn the guitar parts of the easiest songs in the game

Only Head Like a Hole. I figure that the 80+ songs on disc will keep me busy for a while. I might get an upgrade or two here and there for songs I really love.

I posted this in the Alan Wake thread, but it should be here too. Apparently I (we all?) missed during the great RBN1.0 queue-clearing the song "Lift" by Poets of the Fall. This band has a song featured in the game (not this one) and pulled double-duty as the fictional band Old Gods of Asgard. It's pretty good on it's own and buying it can't hurt the cause of getting some Anderson brother love in Rock Band.

So here I thought I'd play me some keys tonight on the new NIN tracks. Haven't used the keys in a few months.

Now all of a sudden the keyboard won't connect to the PS3. I of course can't find the manual, and the lack of info online on how to do the sync, especially at Mad Catz is baffling.

Can anyone refresh my memory on how exactly you sync the keyboard to the PS3? I'm hitting the little wireless button on the side but nothing happens.
