I apologize if this has been asked before, but can the Xbox 360 Keyboard be used on the PS3?

Nope, PS3 uses Bluetooth for their wireless tech. 360 uses RF.

Wait, the PS3 one connects directly to the PS3? It doesn't need a dongle anymore?

Clearly I'm not qualified to answer that question and I apologize for forgetting that extra steps were needed. Have you ever been able to use a 360 Rock Band device with a PS3 with a dongle?

Never tried. Just had an opportunity to pick up the 360 Keyboard on the cheap and didn't know if I could or not. Thanks for your answers though, I do appreciate it!

Okay, so here's where we are. We own a Wii, and my wife has Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith both with the Les Paul guitar controllers. I'm horrible at all video games and these in particular, but I likes me some country music so I bought the Rock Band Country Track Pack standalone game a while back, and we recently picked up Green Day: Rock Band for my wife (a longtime fan of theirs). With the Les Pauls we can play just fine with the GH games, but there's a lag problem--even with calibration--on the RB games. Given that the Activision-made guitars are all OOP and difficult to come by, what are our best options for a ready-to-use guitar? (And please, no "You need an X-Box" recommendations. Not looking for Wii-bashing.)

But seriously, what I would do is just get one of the RB3 guitars. Newegg has them for $60 shipped. They are supposed to be pretty similar to the RB2 guitars, if not functionally the same. I don't know what colors are available, but Newegg has blue and red versions.
