Where'd you order it from that actually has it in stock? Best I've seen are shipping estimates for Friday. Since Provantage was so much cheaper I don't mind waiting a bit, but if there is another place that is also cheap but in stock, that'd be nice.

edit: Nevermind it looks like MadCatz is now showing it as in stock. Hopefully that means mine will ship this week too.

Yeah store.gameshark.com. Hoping they will ship it today!

Oh I also got a 10% discount by signing up for the email list, which at least offsets that they charge tax in CA.

Squier details! $279.99 MSRP. Available March 1st. That's actually less expensive and earlier than I was expecting, so...yeah. I'm in. Hopefully places like Musicians Friend that usually give a pretty steep discount on instruments will bring this in for even less than that.

They've been announcing stuff like crazy! This guitar thing, the stage kit, today's one DLC track…

Nice, I'm sure I will probably end up buying one of these as well.
Still, I will probably keep the Mustang also, unless I don't like it.
Always wanted a guitar shaped midi controller with no tracking issues.

It's ambiguous. Could be RB3 related, or Dance Central related, or something new.

It feels new based on that comment, but we'll see.

I was sure they were talking about Pants Central.

Alright, that's less than I was expecting! I figured it'd be around $300-350.

So I'm assuming this is something I'd have to get from a music store or order online...I take one does not simply walk into a Best Buy or Gamestop and pick it up.

I'm going with Pink Floyd: Rock Band anything else will be a disappointment and another failure on HMX's part.

Trying to rate songs when you have >800 songs is pointless. Every time I assign a rating, it freezes the thing for almost 10 seconds. Disappointing.

I noticed last night that the Dashboard update seemed to mitigate this somewhat. Now it only freezes for like 2 or 3 seconds when rating a song in the song list.

Hell, I'm in at that price, as long as the reviews for it are good.

That $280 is in addition to the $40 for the MIDI adapter, right? I don't think there are any plans to bundle those items together.

I'm going to assume you will be able to get that at bestbuy and gamestop. First and foremost it's a game controller. I mean that if someone plays guitar but not games they won't buy it, but if someone plays games and wants to play guitar then they will likely buy it. Putting it in a real music store only will limit it substantially as likely anyone going to the music store plays a real instrument and scoffs at rock band type games.

Any Letters to Cleo fans? While it's not the same thing, Kay Hanley (the lead singer) has a solo song up on RBN, "Think Bad Thoughts." It's really good.

Too bad it won't work with my VG-99. Oh well I should sell that thing anyway since I have an Axe-FX Ultra.

Can I guitar geek out here like that now that we are discussing the subject? LOL

Pink Floyd makes me want to take a nap. Playing Pink Floyd might also make me want to take a nap.

Yeah, but think of all the new and unique bugs they can introduce to the PS3 version to keep you on your toes!

So is this a soft launch of RB3, and the real launch will be when the guitar launches?
