so i was searching for the level 3 treasure down by Rio Del Lobo, probably a good 100-200 yards in the wrong direction. came to a clearing between the woods just off the shore of the river and saw a man huddled over what i believed to be his dead wife.

i then thought he was going to turn into a blue dot and have me do something for him,

i was so shocked and amazed at the same time. what an unbelievable touch to include something such as this that i might never had seen if i wasn't lost and just searching aimlessly.

anyone else come across this or other oddities that shocked? should i have kept that in spoilers or does everyone know about it?

Yeah, I saw that one once or twice. It was cool but I think it's usually because of something you didn't do like

I saw random shootouts that had nothing to do with anything I was doing all the time and random fistfights in town.

one of the most exciting things Ive seen was when I had just won a duel in Thieves Landing. Somehow the shooting got someone pissed or maybe a stray shot hit someone but it started a gang war. For the next 5 minutes everyone in the town was shooting at each other. I dove into the whorehouse and hid while they had at it. When it was done there were random dead bodies strewn from the gun shop all the way to the stagecoach.

Yup, touches like that is one of the big reasons why I love this game.

i've hardly even done the main story challenges. i love mostly just hunting for various game, then catching a live bounty, helping a damsel in distress and occasionally finding treasure.

killed me some cougars with my melee knife and was psyched. when i see a critter in real life now, i wonder why i don't have a rifle in my hand to shoot it.

I had a funny glitch right before I finished the game.

That's a pretty common glitch, happened to me as well.

Just starting to play the multiplayer and its not very user friendly at first to figure out--
how can you start a 2 player co op hunting mission/challenge?

What Ive been doing is: Load game>choose multiplayer>choose private multiplayer then invite my friend to the game. Ok then we are both in the world together. I hit my back button and there is the list of game types. Which one is hunting?

You better INVITE TO POSSE or he's not coming with you no matter what you select.

*Came across, I think, the man shooting himself senerio in the woods but instead he was just rolling around on top of a dead woman. EWWWWW!
*Survived an attack by a bear and two cougars at the same time only to be killed by a rattle snake I fell on
