Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Hadn't seen this posted yet... more DLC arrives soon...

More Red Dead Redemption will always be a good thing, so while it's more than a little disappointing that all of the DLC announced for the game thus far is multiplayer-centric, there's no arguing that it's massively welcome nonetheless.

And not only does the upcoming paid DLC, Legends and Killers, introduce Red Dead Revolver characters, but it also adds 9 new multiplayer locations and a new weapon, as well as new cheevos, all for $9.99.

Rockstar has released another four screens showing off the new content, which is due to hit the PlayStation Network in early August.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Could someone please tell me what I can do with a hogtied bandit that I rounded up from a stranger? The mission didn't require to tie him up and I might have had to kill him, but i tied him and put him on my horse instead. Can i bring him anywhere and get something?

also, can you sell horses that are given to you as gift and don't need? Bonnie gave me a stallion for completing one of her missions, but since i have War Horse didn't need it. thus, i wanted to sell him at General Store or something, but couldn't.

Check the map, there should be a spot on there that shows you where to bring him.

It should show up on your map as a Blue Dot

I need to kill the seagulls and the ducks in order to get the killing all of the species trophy. I know I can find the seagulls on the docks in Blackwater but where the heck do I find the ducks? I have yet to finish the single player game btw.

There are usually one or two ducks around the docks at Thieves' Landing. It took me a while to get one because they usually stay far out in the water.

ok. i saw only the blue dot when i had to go back to the stranger to give him his loot back, but nothing after to take the bandit.

also, is there something on the map that shows you where exactly a killed animal is?

i've killed some varmints around, sometimes a little in the distance and when i walk towards them sometimes i lose them in the brush or grass and can't easily find them to skin 'em.

Only on the mini map. When you're close to a dead anything, you'll see an x.

Shoot it, skin it, and sell the spoils.

As a side note, anybody ever accidentally shoot their horse while riding? I did this trying to scare off a wolf pack. I aimed a little too low, shot my horse in the head, and got a Honor penalty to boot!

I never thought most of those roadside bastards had destinations to which you could take them. In the beginning I hogtied and dropped them at the sheriff's door but nothing happened. It was never worth the effort to figure some of these things out so I started putting them out of their misery forthwith.

You actually take them back to the victim, who will kick and spit on them.

Sure... the shop owners get to do some kicking and spitting... but I think he's talking about roadside arbs like the muggers and tricksters. The runaway thieves and whatnot definitely have a depository on the map.

So I need help to complete the ambient challenges. I am on the level 10 sharpshooter challenge - Disarm any 6 enemies without reloading or changing weapons - and I need to figure out the best way to complete the challenge.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Get yourself a big clip and go behind the bar in Armadillo. Aim at one of the Walton's and they'll all draw down on you. Just go slow and in Dead-Eye and you should get 3 or 4 just from them. Then hope some lawmen come in or go out to the street to find a few more.

I heard it helps to empty your ammo reserve to 0 for that weapon so there's no chance you'll accidentally reload.

Use the Evans repeater and make sure you only have 22 bullets for it. Go to a saloon, stand behind the bar, and draw on the people there. Use dead-eye and the bar for cover.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

i read in the wiki you can gain easy fame by robbing a prostitute. it says to go near one and hold out your gun, lock on, and press y when no one around. i try that, but never get the instruction to press Y. is this a possible move in the game?
