Loving this demo, but I'll have to wait until the price drops in the future to pick it up.

I just picked up the machine off a vehicle and that thing is sweet. The thing has unlimited ammo and is so easy destroying and killing with it. The only drawback is that you can't walk very fast with it.

So how does the grapple hook work when you keep the grapple hook button pressed in? I need to learn some of the tricks.

Grapple something (say an innocent pedestrian), hold the button down, aim at something else (say a moving vehicle), and then let go. The two items will then be attached by a rope for all sorts of fun hi-jinks.

For Canadians this is $40 at Walmart btw. I'm assuming by the comments in this thread its worth it for that price?

It's three days prior to release and there are still no online reviews. That's really annoying. Wonder why they have such an embargo -- obviously they're pretty happy with the product to release such a robust demo.

Yes! This is the move I discovered on accident. The cool thing this doesnt show, is that while you're shooting in the air, you can point the camera down and its like you're on the tip of a rocket watching yourself zoom up. Way cool

What a difference a demo (or two) can make. This time last week, Just Cause 2 wasn't even on my radar and Splinter Cell Conviction was a highly-anticipated title for me. Now, I can't wait for JC2 to arrive tomorrow, while my Splinter Cell pre-order has been cancelled.

LOL! All the time they have taken to make SC Conviction and the arrogance about it only appearing on the 360 has made what you just said quite funny. Just Cause 2 may not be the game of the year but it looks like it will be fun as hell.

Yes, definitely works in Chicagoland however it expires today. I bought Dante's Inferno for $29.99 (on sale for $39.99 minus $10 coupon) and Fable 2 Plat for $19.99.

played a bit of it today...wow this game has scale....very fun so far.

Also, the game looks better than the demo, almost like they added a layer of filtering or something...but it could be the lack of sleep on my part....

Got my copy today and enjoyed the hour or so that I was able to play. There sure is a lot of shit to blow up in this game and the map is incredibly big.

The story isn't to be taken too seriously but it's good enough to move the action along. The cutscenes, however, are very weak in comparison to the game's excellent action.

Rico's character model looks very good, but the absolute best-looking thing in Just Cause 2 is the island of Panau itself.

The voice acting in Just Cause 2 is hit or miss, but the music is always entertaining.
8.5 Gameplay
Despite a few problems with checkpoints and on-foot combat, Just Cause 2 is an absolutely thrilling third-person shooter with a massive open world and some amazing action set pieces.
9.0 Lasting Appeal
I spent about 20 hours beating Just Cause 2. And that was roughly 30 percent of what the entire game has to offer. This game will keep you busy for a long time.

I played through just enough of the missions to get to where I could run amok. I'm not sure when I'll get back to playing the actual game as I'm having too much fun messing around.

That's my plan as well. Just wreck havoc til I get bored, then do a mission or two.

Yea, picked up the last copy for PS3, haven't had a chance to play it, but the demo was awesome.
