Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

I think Thursday would be OK.

In Warhawk, we all have quick nicknames for each other (digi, flip, r2, nic, etc). Would you rather be called John or Slider or ???

heh... that happened quite a bit, didn't it? I would shoot a rocket, crouch behind the ammo resupply crate until I reloaded and then shoot again and sometimes you were standing right next to him. I had no idea what you were doing, at first I thought you were setting more claymore, but now I know.

Edit: I was just reading online and it says the best way to do Snatch & Grab is to eliminate the first spawn of bad guys from inside the airplane after you get the intel, and then when the coast is clear to just rush the extraction point. Article said there's usually 3 or 4 more juggernauts that come for you and the easiest thing to do is to just keep throwing flash bangs ahead and run to the extraction point as fast as you can. Don't know if we want to try that or not.

Alright, so it looks like knifing is a horrible idea from what I have read. It takes like 17 stabs to kill one. Basically it sounds like you have to use the thumper/grenade launcher and try to hit them directly in the head at medium range and this will take them down with 1 hit.

I guess I think our strategy on snatch and grab is a decent one, we just need to make sure we know where the juggernauts are coming from and both be going for them and of course make sure we are not being picked off by the other minions. Maybe you we can out run them but it seems on veteran anytime you try to outrun bullets they always catch up with you

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

Hey, I'd like to join the group (PSN johnglass). I mostly play CTF or Domination so my k/d ratio is horrible, and I'm having a kid in a few weeks so my game time may be limited, but I should be able to get online once a week.

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

Quick question guys: I'm only at level 6 on the PS3 and I chose lightweight, commando and marathon as my perks... I've been running around like a mad man but have yet to log even a single mile towards my Perks+ for lightweight and marathon.... any idea what is going on??

I did the same thing and everything worked alright. You might need to run more, it didn't notify me until I hit 10 miles, I think.

Welcom, John. I'll send you a friend invite tonight.

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

Sorry I logged off abruptly there, my controller battery died. Charging now, but I don't know if I'll feel up to CoD later. Haven't been sleeping well so I'll probably just pop in a movie and try to get some rest. I think almost everybody logged off before that last game anyway?

Tonight was fun, but I think I still prefer the private matches. It was odd how I couldn't connect when R2 invited me, but first attempt on Nic's invite worked.

you were right, Nic and I didn't know about this thread...the guy who has Nic's clan name is his brother...DO NOT TAKE IT EASY ON HIM...he doesn't deserve it.

I think it would be fun to play some private matches with a bunch of guys from here, especially if we can set up a night, I have been pushing for more public ones, because I can only blow Nic up with a grenade so many times...but if we get some more people playing, that would be great, we had 6 last night in that public server but I'm afraid to try too many different guns, because some of those people are crazy good and take no mercy....and without my grenade launcher as my security blanket I dont know what I'd do...

After my very first exposure to a public match in Warhawk the other week, I'd greatly prefer joining in on a set day/private match.

I, and it sounds like R2 also, will be hopping on after Warhawk if you want to get in and try some stuff with us. There will probably be a few others hopping on then, too.

Eh, probably not. I'm an early riser for work and the Warhawk end-time is when my day ends too.

Hey DVDTalkers, that was fun tonight. Funny that you didn't know I was from DVDTalk right away (until I was smokin' ya )

Had to switch my game up a bit to take care of those double Rangers, John.

Digi - you were my only match (I won one, you won one, both close).

Re: CoD:MW2 Online League (PlayStation 3)

lol.

On these games I'm quite literally sprinting 99% of the time. I think someone even commented on how all I did was run around. On public servers I'm more careful about what I'm doing, but with you guys I like just running around and knifing or getting kills with the throwing knife. I think most of the games I had an equal or surplus of deaths to my kills, which was okay. I didn't mean to call in that helicopter in the first round, I didn't want to use any of those types of rewards during our games.

Digi - I can't believe we knocked out three veteran spec-ops tonight, and then we were stumped. The breach one is a lot of fun, but it's pretty difficult. We have a good strategy in the juggernaut mission, we just need to predict what the other person is going to do. I kept whipping stun grenades and accidentally hitting you. We'll get it though.

I didn't recognize the name, but I figured you musta been from DVDTALK or a personal friend of johnslider's, but I laughed when i saw the [DVDT] clan tag...I used to play the first SOCOM with a bunch of DVDTALKers and our tag was [DVD] and that just caught me off guard...

I was exceptionally bad last night. I switched it up from my grenede launcher attachment, so i could improve my aiming, and i got my ass owned over and over again...I need to figure out witch gun I'm most comfortable with...
I think when we meet up like that with 6 or more people, we should alternate between free-for-alls and TDM and maybe some others like domination, that might add to the fun and get us to start working together more...

Agreed...although last night the game broke up exceptionally fast. We had like 8 and then all of the sudden it was just me and Slider.

Yeah, those were hard fought. On both of those games towards the end I kept getting the lead and then losing it and back and forth up until the last minute. I did have the best kill/death ratio though

The breach one was fun, but it seemed long so having to start over and over and over got frustrating and I felt like I was not playing great on that one to a point because I was getting frustrated. I meant to tell you that I beat the Snatch and Grab veteran by myself just a few days ago, but glad we did it coop though. It definitely seemed harder with 2 people then just 1 for some reason.

The juggernaut one is crazy since after you kill the first 2 then from then on there are always 2 juggernauts running around so it is easy to get flanked. It was nice we killed 4 in one of the tries but we need to figure out a good strategy when there are 2 of them. One thing that I read is that you should just run around the map together to get both of them walking together and then ****** on them. I was having pretty good success using the thumper and hiding behind a corner and then bouncing the grenades off the wall to hit them. That way I was able to hit them but they couldn't see me. We really do need mics for that one though to discuss what we are doing

Good games last night though
