Combine that with the $50 coupon at Walmart and it makes it even better.

That having been said, I already have an Eye and Sports Champions (could always use an extra Move) and didn't bit on an Amazon Warehouse deal for the bundle that was around 330... mainly because I don't want to lose backward compatibility from my phat. Is the slim that much quieter?

After I raised my phat up to allow more airflow, the fan doesn't make nearly as much noise as it used to. The slim runs a little more silent, but it's not like you're going to forget it's in the room.

Does anyone use that X21 headset for the PS3? It's the one that's included with the KMart Black Ops deal. I've been looking to get a headset to replace my shitty bluetooth. I may not get it with the KMart deal since it's only a few bucks more expensive on Amazon. And I just won't have the cash to add another $60 on top of Black Ops and Fallout NV. Just looking for recommendations. Maybe something to put on the Christmas list for the wife.

Not sure if I want the WALMART coupon route though...I keep waiting for some good Holiday bundle. The $50 Gift Card is ok...but, I wish I would've got it through Amazon (no tax).

I do already have the PS EYE, but I figure I could sell it if I got the bundle. It appears they are now selling the 320GB console by itself for $350. So, a $50 premium for the MOVE is nice. Although, do I really need the move?

I've noticed a few new bundles already:
- 160GB w/Toy Story 3 & TS1/2 Blu-Ray for $299 (Target)
- 160GB w/SWFU2 & PoP Blu-Ray for $299 (Target)
- 250GB w/Madden 11 - $350 (Best Buy)
- 320GB Move Bundle - $400 (standard)

If you can wait a couple more weeks, I'm sure some stores will have some black friday bundle deals going on.

Amazon always puts together some decent bundles.

Anyone ever bought a used PS3? I am looking to pick up another system but don't want to pay full price for it.

Given the YLOD and laser failure problems, I don't think I'd ever gamble on a used PS3.

Yeah, that sounds like a bad idea.

Check Amazon Warehouse deals. I just got a brand new (box was beat up) PS3 320GB Move bundle for $290.

And speaking of which... if I'm going to transfer all my saves and stuff using the network transfer from my old PS3 to the new one I got, is that like MS where you only get to do that once a year? Or can you do it as many times as you see fit? Also, does it deactivate your old PS3 or do you have to do that manually?

save files can be transferred unlimited number of times, you can even use a usb jump drive to do it. PSN games can't be moved through transfer but can be downloaded 5 times (maybe 6) through PSN.

Thanks for the response. I was under the impression that the network transfer transferred all game data as it essentially is a backup&recover function. I know I have to do it this way to transfer my locked save files, etc. Anyone else have experience with the network transfer?

I've never done it, but it acts a move, not a copy, so the old one no longer has any data.

It works fine, absolutely everything transfers over. As was mentioned though, it's like a cut/paste, not a copy/paste, so everything on your old system is gone. Also, it does not deactivate your old system, so make sure to do that first.

Thanks. Did it last night. Deactivated all the accounts on my original system. What's weird, though, is after it finished, all my accounts and games were still on my old system as well as being on my new system. I haven't had time to investigate and see if anything did/didn't transfer over.

The the Move/Eyepet bundle not come with the demo disc?

There should be a whole section on the PSN of Move-enabled games. Kung Fu Rider, TV Superstars, maybe Sports Champions. Lots more. But check to see if you have that demo disc because they're all on there.

I just checked and no, there's no demo disc in the box. The EyePet game box is the standard retail one.

I will check the PSN section. Thanks!

Weird. The Sports Champions Move bundle came with a demo disc, I don't see why the Eyepet one wouldn't. But I do believe all the demos from the disc are now available on the PSN store so that's about 9 or 10 in total.

I bought a 60gb refurb about 6 months after the system came out... still going strong *knock on wood*.

I dont know, but a couple of weeks ago I got an email saying that there was a problem with netflix and they would credit my account 3% for my trouble if I clicked the link. Bill came and I didnt get the 3% off and today I got the same email again. Is this a scam?

I do. My only complaint is that the wiring can be awkward because the cords are so long plus it makes you realize how terrible everyone else who is using a blutooth headset sounds. Get it. It is worth it.

Why? My launch unit is running better than ever!

But I agree on not buying a used or refurb one at this point. It's not worth saving $50 or so and taking the risk of buying someone elses problem.

Especially with Black Friday deals and bundles coming in two weeks to spend money on potentially some one else's headache makes no sense. Leave that purchase to the suckers.

BTW : My 60 GB is chugging along great and near-silent as well. :fc:
