Except for that one time they gave away some games just for vita owners and you could only get them in the Vita store.

Yeah yeah. That was one time. They may switch to that permanently but I doubt it. Just like how people here are debating picking up a Vita at some point because they already have so many available games to play, it very well could work the same way with the PS4.

Has Lumines: Electronic Symphony been free on PS Plus yet for the US?

It looks like it was for EU back in February with WipeOut 2048... so maybe it is coming?

I am waaaaaaaaay behind on my back catalog. I just started playing Infamous yesterday and I have to say, I fucked up by not playing this game earlier. Great game so far!

Infamous was great, and Infamous 2 although is more of the same is also fantastic. It is, or it was, free on Plus.

OK guys, granted, I don't download games off of Playstation Plus as I probably should, but I'm having some serious trouble trying to download Uncharted 3.

I've tried downloading it twice now. And once it hits 100%, it never shows up. And when I'm downloading it, it says it's an "Add on"--I click on to download the game, and I ended up getting 6-7 different add ons for the game.

But how can I just download the single player game, instead of all these different add ons for multiplayer, and 3D and all of this stuff?

mlb.tv updated their PS3 app last week and the new version sucks. The video is choppy whereas before it wasnt. It looks like it jumps from 16:9 to 4:3 for a frame every once and while. There was no option to skip the upgrade and no way to go back.

I'm sorry to hear that. I really liked the MLB.tv app and watched it occasionally this season. Thought it was great.

Yep, that's the exact one I want to download. I've tried downloading it through the Playstation, and when I add it to cart, it tries to download like 8 different things, most of which appear to be add ons. I am pretty sure I've downloaded the single player game, but I can't find it.

I also have enough space. Just checked and I have 52 GB free. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Did you download in the background? If you did, first check to make sure its done downloading in your download queue. If it is done, you need to manually install, so it will be in the Game dropdown, but not in the game subfolder where installed games go. If you downloaded in the foreground it would have installed automatically and be in a subfolder under Games.

Appreciate the help, but I still can't find it (I downloaded it in the background). I find it particularly odd, because any past game or demo or movie I've downloaded In the past has been easy to locate and worked flawlessly. But when I try to download Uncharted 3, it downloads and the seems to disappear

I'm able to see it download and it's progress in Download Management. But once it finishes, I can't figure out where on earth it goes.

Call 800-345-SONY. Select PSN Problems and you'll speak to a CSR who will help you. They're usually pretty good at troubleshooting problems.

I went to Yahoo Answers and I think I know what the problem is. Looks like downloading a couple of the add ons is required to get the game to work so you can install it. So I'm going to try doing that first and see how it works.

How often do they release free games for PS+ member? I just signed up and just trying to figure out how often they do the free games.

there's usually between 5-8 free games at a time (including PS3 & Vita). Each Tuesday new ones are added and some go away.

Every week now there's a free game. In a given month it's one new full PS3 game, one PSN game for the PS3, one Vita game and usually one PSP game compatible with the Vita. This month we're getting one full PS3 game (Hitman Absolution), one PSN game (Bit Trip Runner 2) for the PS3, one cross buy PS3 plus Vita PSN game (Star Wars Pinball), one Vita game (Machinarium) and one PSP game (Darkstalkers). That's five games, but only four Tuesdays in August, so we'll be doubling one week this month.
PS Plus is a HELL of a good deal.

Actually, there are always 12 PS3 games in the IGC at one time and at least six Vita games as well (sometimes with a cross-buy title or two). They rotate in and out. Some (like inFamous 2) linger for a year while others (like the recent Battlefield 3) are gone after just a month.

I was trying to "purchase" the free PS+ games through the PSN website. It let me get 4, and everything after that it says I'm not eligible to purchase this content. Anyone else have this issue? The website is way more convenient than going through the system.

Edit: I looked it up, and apparently it's an issue with the PSN system, where if you buy a cross-buy game, it shows up online as not purchased, but it does show up in your download list. Weird.

Thought this was interesting:

So now Sony and Microsoft both have current versions of their consoles under $200. With Black Friday right around the corner, I'm guessing these might be on sale for as low as $130 - $150 or with some sort of game bundles.
