I'm planning on picking up Metro 2033, but I guess I'm late to the party. The party that didn't happen anyway.

Is anyone else unable to find a game in Bad Company? I just decided to try to jump into a multiplayer game and give it a stab and i only see a quick play option. I have hit join game 3 times and it keeps telling me there are no games available at this moment?
Are you kidding me?

Anyone else have this problem before and if so what ultimately happened/did you do? My 360 apparently has decided to become an NES, before you laugh or go Huh? let me explain
Last week I turned on my system and there was a game inside but it stated Open Tray, I opened and closed again and nothing. Did this like 3 more times and then all of a sudden it started up and played fine. Here's where it gets odd, now basically everyday since then I get the same thing when I start up. But to alleviate the issue I open the tray and like the old NES days I blow into the system like we used to do to the NES cartridges and sometimes the system itself and once I close it again it works like a charm. Anyone else experience this before and/or is this just my disc drive waiting to crap out on me once and for all. The place where my 360 is well ventialted and we keep our place pretty spotless, especially now as we are trying to sell the house so I don't think dust/lack of cleanliness around the system would be an issue.

Coffin arrived yesterday. As frustrating as this is, at least the shipping part is easy.

Just got this email:
That's a nice little bonus. Also cool about a possible Reach beta code. No need to have the ODST disc in the drive.
On April 15, 2010, we will discontinue the Xbox LIVE service for original Xbox games playable on Xbox v1 and Xbox 360. In our continuing efforts to evolve the service, we need to make changes to the LIVE service that are not compatible with original Xbox v1 games.
What does this change mean for you?
• It does not affect your ability to play original Xbox v1 games offline, but does remove LIVE connectivity and support for online multiplayer, leader boards, and other online features of these games.
• We realize that you are an avid Halo 2 fan. Unfortunately, with this change, you will not be able to play Halo 2 on Xbox LIVE going forward.
• Although it is difficult to say goodbye to Halo 2, the Halo franchise continues as the benchmark for multiplayer gaming in this generation with Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and soon Halo: Reach. On the Xbox 360, you will continue to have access to the LIVE service where you can enjoy hundreds of other LIVE-enabled games.
When will this change take effect?
• April 15, 2010.
What is Xbox LIVE doing for me?
• To thank you for being a loyal Xbox LIVE customer, we are giving you a free, three-month LIVE Gold membership and 400 Microsoft Points for you to use as you choose on Xbox LIVE.
• In addition, because you've been so loyal to Halo, we are inviting you to participate in the exclusive Halo: Reach Beta.
How do I get these offers?
• You will receive a token for 400 MS points. Check your Xbox LIVE account messages on the console. These points can be used for 365 days after you activate your token.
• We are extending your Gold membership by three months automatically. The extension will be directly reflected in your LIVE account.
• Finally, as the beta gets closer, you will receive an e-mail containing the code granting you access to the exclusive Halo: Reach Beta.
Thank you for being a loyal Xbox LIVE member. Please visit xbox.com/support if you have any questions or for more information.

The more I think about it, I wonder if it is just going out to people that played Halo 2 in the past few months. It seems pretty specific to Halo and being apologetic for killing the Halo 2 community.

A little gem of an indie game, cross with Gauntlet and a tower defense game...

Especially since the wording on the GS website for the gun makes it sound like you can't even use it until half way through the game.

My 360 got the E74 error last night, so it's on its way to hopefully be fixed/replaced. I thought I had dodged a bullet for the longest time, since I had one of the older models from late 2005, but apparently my luck didn't hold out forever.

Am I the only person who has an unplayed spare Xbox sitting around in case my Elite dies?
Picked up an Arcade during one of the "gift card included" deals this past Christmas and it's been turned on twice I think.

I have a extra one laying around. I went through 5 repairs and said never again and picked up a jasper arcade. My repaired unit is sitting in a box on the side just in case.

I don't have a spare, I have 2 active consoles with a Memory Unit to move my profile and relevant save games back & forth. If one dies, I'm covered during the repair process.
