looks like they're stacking more and more shitty 'help functions' on top of each other.

I wish video of all DLC was available for each piece. I got a new game and it has a ton of little DLC packs that appear to be pretty stupid - but they are cheap enough I might look into getting some of it that interested me. But to get any info about it I have to go online and look. It is dumb.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
So I had a friend over last night and we were playing co op Left 4 Dead and sometime during the first level the game just stopped and went back to the main menu and said something about the player profile signing in and/or out issues. Didn’t really know what that was about and we didn’t feel like starting over so we threw in co op Call of Duty WAW and about half way through the first level it did the exact same thing. Except this time it said something about data and made us start from scratch again. Any idea what this might be? System problem or hard drive problem? Just thought it was really weird that the same thing happened back to back on two different games.

Hackers. Check into your xbox.com profiles. Check purchase history, change passwords if necessary, etc.
It's happened to two of my friends. |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Wait hackers? From playing a split screen co op game? I didn’t even know that was possible. Well I went to Xbox.com and changed my password and it doesn’t look like anything was bought or downloaded. Is there anything else I should do?

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Were you online? If you or your friend are signed into XBL and someone else (HaXX0RZ) is trying to sign in to your profile elsewhere, then you could have an issue.
If you checked that stuff and it was fine, then don't worry about the precaution you just took. You're ahead of the game! Just chalk it up to a fluke. |

Anyone here use Xbox Live Family Pack? I am thinking of switching over and had one question I can not find an answer for. Can you add a 3/6/12 mo Live card to the family account? Will this act like the prorated conversion and just add 1/2 of the amount to the family account? ie. I buy a 12 month card and add it, it adds another 6 months to the family plan.
Also how bad is the parental controls on the subortanate 3 accounts? 2 of the accounts would be for another adult and a 17 y/o that would not need any filtering. |

Well, fiddlesticks!
Looks like my 2nd 360's bit the dust now too. And this one's past it's warranty. It may or may not be the power supply, but it could very well be both. Do any of you know if I can transfer my existing hard-drive data to the newer black 360s from my old white one using my old transfer cable? |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Yes you can. One way transfer. I did it recently. You no longer need the software for transfer either.
|
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Since my power source may not work, do I need the old 360 plugged into a power source, or can I just detach it's hard drive, stick the transfer disc into the new 360, and plug the old detached drive into the new 360 with the transfer cable?
|
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Just detach the old hard drive and connect it to the old transfer cable. Then connect the transfer cable to the new xbox. The software disc is no longer needed.

re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Will my old HDMI and digital audio cables that I had hooked into the old 360 work with the new black 360?

Coolness! The back of my TV/receiver is a fucking mess, and it's nice to be able to just unplug the old 360 and plug the new one into the existing cables without having to go further into the black-hole of wires and cables that lead into the TV.

Power, though...
It has built-in Wifi if you're into that sort of thing. |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Yeah, I already moved out the old power brick, and all the power for all the components go into a single power strip off to the side, away from the madness of the A/V wires.
Now I guess I'll have one of those modem dongle thingies to sell off - probably not worth the cost of shipping... |

Kinect Star Wars & Ltd Edition Console Delayed
You better rewrite that shopping list for Santa Claus Written by DavieMarshall today at 16:08 Please don't shoot the messenger folks, but yes you have read that title and strap-line correctly. The long awaited Kinect Star Wars and that lovely looking Star Wars themed Xbox 360 has suffered a delay at Microsoft's jurisdiction. Originally planned to be released in time for 'holiday 2011', Microsoft have balked on that date and have pushed both of these items back into an, as yet unspecified, date in 2012. Speaking to OXM a Microsoft spokesperson gave the following statement: Microsoft and LucasArts have elected to move the launch of Kinect Star Wars beyond holiday 2011 to ensure the full potential of this title is realized. This move applies to both the Kinect Star Wars stand-alone game and the Kinect Star Wars Limited Edition Console. We will communicate additional timing information at a later date. An absolute blow and a major disappointment for many, it is suggested/rumoured that extra time is needed to fine-tune the title, specifically addressing issues with lagging and flaky controls. More news on the new release date as it becomes available. http://www.trueachievements.com/news...ewsitemid=5154 Balls! |
re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
LAME.
Why the delay? I mean nobody actually expects a Kinect title to control accurately. |
