Earthworm Jim HD comes out next Wed 6/9 per Gameloft on XBLA and "soon" to PSN. So we can scratch that game off our list of Summer of the Arcade "Candidates".

I was skeptical, but checking the demo, it looks like Snoopy came out just great. It's fun and handles simply but better than I would have expected. It does feel a like the spiritual successor to Crimson Skies. I only tried a few minutes of the single player demo, but it appears that there is a multiplayer demo available as well. At 800 points, I really can't see me not buying this game, but I didn't pull the trigger yet. My kids certainly are expecting me to buy it tonight. It sure looks like a well made game for the price.
BTW : Nobody (but you) dies in the game. When you shoot down bad guys, the parachute to safety. :)

I have the PS2 one which was also great and I think that is what happens in it as well. I'm definitely buying it. Loved the PS2 game and this one looks even better.

Thanks for the write-up, Decker. I'm pretty comfortable buying this demo-unplayed. It may take a couple of days before I can get around to it though and that's killing me.

On a side note, I'm seriously considering picking up Prince of Persia Classic for $5 this week. Anybody here play it? How does it control with the 360 controller?

Game Room update:

FROG BOG! What a simple, yet amazingly nostalgic game for me. Sadly, my girls may actually be too old to appreciate it. I'm sure I wasn't 6 yet when it was popular in my house :(

I got the PS3 version, which has been on sale many times already. It's fine, but not a whole lot of fun. Basically it's just as advertised -- PoP with the skins of Sands of Time. I'm not really a big fan of the game and would rather just play one of the BC XBOX ones instead. I wish I hadn't spent $5 on it, but then I have no nostalgia for the original. If you do, I expect you'd like it. At least the 360 version has achievements; the PSN version lacks trophy support.

I wonder if Activision will consider putting the Intellivision versions of their games in Game Room as well. I'd be interested in trying the INTV version of Pitfall, for example.

I'm liking it.Lotsa different game modes.I always like games that have death matches(or in this case dog fights) vs bots.Easy buy for me at 800 points,it's Peanuts ;)

6/22 is the DS release date for Puzzle Quest 2. I'm putting my money on 6/23 for XBLA.

I'm loving Trials HD. Its a must buy at half price. Liked Snoopy, but haven't bought it yet. Probably will when I catch up on a few other games.

Yeah, Trials should be mandatory for that price. I didn't jump on Splosion man yet, so this time it will be mine! Even though I didn't like it, part of me is tempted to get TMNT for that price. That sounds dumb, but it might be fun to have just for when someone comes over. Coop should still be fun.

I like these expanded themed deals (though I don't think Worms 2 is really a PC port). In typical Decker fashion, of course I already own all these games except Serious Sam HD. Not sure it's worth $10 to me and fully expect it to be less on Steam sometime soon. Anyone have that game? Any good?
