The COD:Classic trial is pretty good. You get to play the training level and the first 2 missions. So it's a nice long demo.
I wish there were brightness options. The demo missions are at night, and it's really dark. I could adjust my TV settings, but I'm too lazy. I also wish there were more controller options. You just get Default and Southpaw. After playing COD:MW2, it takes some time to adjust to the classic controls. |

Did anybody here end up getting Madden Acrade? Tried it over the weekend and ended up buying it. I don't care for football but find it to be a blast! (Probably because I don't like football. :lol:) Then checking out stuff about it today I see it was kind of getting hammered the online community.

I kept waiting to see this announced, but I'm highly annoyed by the "volume" idea. It's no value to anyone like us. I do love how they're giving us $15 worth of games on Vol 2 for only $20 :rolleyes:

Konami Classics Volume 1 will feature Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Frogger, and Super Contra. The second disc, Konami Classics Volume 2, will feature Contra, Rush'n Attack, and Track and Field. Both volumes will cost $19.99. As Gamerbytes points out, the pricing seems a bit lop-sided. While the price of Volume 1 is equal to what you'd pay for the three titles on Xbox LIVE Arcade (and let's face it, twenty-bucks for Symphony of the Night alone would be worth it), the second collection does not. In fact, it means you'll be paying $5 more dollars than you would with the digital downloads. Bringing XBLA games to retail on a compilation disc is nothing new, but it usually means it's priced in line with the digital releases. Being able to grab Symphony of the Night is great news for anyone who doesn't have Internet access, but let's be real -- who's going to pay $20 to get the original Contra, Rush'n Attack, and Track and Field? |

$20 for 3 old-school games is a rip off - there's plenty of old school game collections that are $20 that give you 10 or more games, take the Sega collection for example.

Just tried Qix++ and I'm less than impressed. Not that Qix wasn't a cool if simple game for its time, but there isn't much to it and I became bored with the demo. I know 800 points is kinda standard now, but this really should have been a 400 point game. It's not bad, but considering how many great, varied games are out there for 800 points, this one is way too simplistic, unless there's some major change in gameplay after the first two levels. I'd bet that most people who buy the game full price do so by accident --to start and after level 1 you press A to continue, but if you press A after level two, it pops up the "Buy Full Game" purchase confirmation; press it again and you're out 800 points. Sneaky.

Wow, it's even worse than I thought : The IGN review is up (Score = 4.6) and apparently your 800 points only gets you 10 levels which can be completed in a matter of 10 minutes. That's the end of the single player game. They have two other additional game modes listed in the How To Play section, but they'll be paid DLC to buy in the future. That's super shitty and I feel really bad for anyone who either intentionally or accidentally bought this game without realizing how shockingly short on content this POS really is.

Tried the demo and even at 400 points I would pass. Loved this game in the arcade when I was a kid, but it hasn't aged well at all.

Nope. Never got The Maw. :( Wanted to, but just never go the time to spend the money on it and play it. I'll make time for the deal. The other two on the show loved it though. And to be fair, they never sent us that promised Maw plush, so I guess now we're even. :lol: |
