Yay for PQ2. I just tried the demo for Gyromancer last night, and it reminded me just how good PQ was. Didn't like Gyromancer :( . I don't like the 'twist four' mechanic, and it just didn't have any magic to it for me.

Re: XBLA Thread Part 400 - Pinata's got a brown nose
I would have preferred if the enemy moved pieces on the board like in PQ. The whole Hexic-bomb-style approach really didn't work for me at all. PQ was much more interesting trying to set up your opponent for a fall.
I agree with everyone that Galactrix just was missing the charm with the changes to the game. Though if it ever goes on sale to 50%, I'll probably bite. 33% off probably isn't enough of a discount to get me to do it. |

“Call of Duty Classic” goes to war on December 2nd at 9 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT).
Published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward, “Call of Duty Classic” will be available for 1200 Microsoft Points everywhere and is rated T for Teen by the ESRB. For more details on “Call of Duty Classic” you can visit: http://www.xbox.com/games/c/callofdutyclassicxbla/ That said, it's a nice game. Yeah, it's a little dated, but it looks great and runs smoothly. It's kind of fun to see how FPS used to play. Maybe now we'll have some semblance of an online community for this game, as it's pretty spase right now. In any case, since it's $15 and I used the ECA discount (:rip:) to get the Hardened edition, it's like the steelbook and useless art book only costed me $3, which I can live with. |

Capcom announced Final Fight: Double Impact: http://www.destructoid.com/capcom-an...t-156442.phtml
As reported, Final Fight and Magic Sword are heading to PSN and Xbox LIVE Arcade this April as part of a lone release called Final Fight: Double Impact. Publisher Capcom made it official-official in a press release blasted this afternoon. Calloused thumbs may aid recalling what these two games are all about: moving from left to right while hitting people at the same time. How retro. Most of the games’ content won’t be altered -- the descriptions in the press release feel familiar. The biggest change comes as an addition: online cooperative play, which will utilize the studio’s “GPPO” network tech. In a recent Capcom-Unity post, Capcom’s Seth Killian was rather high on GPPO, advising us all to check it out and “become a believer!” in its ability in bringing the arcade experience across the 'net. New, toggle-able HD visuals rendered via Capcom’s engine as well a new soundtrack created by the composers who scored the Bionic Commando: Rearmed will be included in the package as well. No word on pricing still, but do expect Final Fight: Double Impact April 2010. Long live Haggar! |

I am indifferent to Magic Sword but would probably play it a little bit. Final fight on the other hand I love.

http://www.xblarcade.com - Space Ark is a fun homage to the bright and bouncy arcade games of the late 80s such as Rainbow Island, Bubble Bobble and Arkanoid, with an added mix of Pinball. A wandering black hole has passed through the galaxy destroying planets and leaving others damaged and desolate in its wake. The Arkonauts a team of space travelling animals have been dispatched in their Space Ark on a mission to repair the damaged worlds so that their refugee inhabitants can return.

Thanks!
Looks like a weird Arkanoid clone to me. |

Re: XBLA Thread Part 400 - Pinata's got a brown nose
Wow, talk about shocking. Star Trek D-A-C gets some free DLC that almost doubles the content in the original game. It's still not a great game, but had this been the game that was originally released, I'd have been much kinder in my review.

The Final Fight/Magic Sword pack is being done by the developers of Flock! and NOT shitty Backbone and it's looking really damn good. There's PLENTY of visual modes to choose from, including the standard "vaseline" filter for the kids that play these games for simply "LOL NOSTALGIA" factor are are deeply offended by the fact that they were made of pixels, a crisp, no-filter mode for real fans and a "cabinet" mode the simulates the curved look and scanlines of an arcade monitor surrounded by the actual monitor bezel.
