I've also found if you're zapping the batteries that it usually takes one extra zap after all the green lights light up.
mhg83, did you figure it out?

Re: inFAMOUS (PS3) Thread
Every time i get enough xp, i upgrade my powers. My main gripe with the difficulty is the constant spamming of enemies. Every single block i come across has enemies. I've died multiple times just in attempting to get to my next mission. That's where it gets frustratingly difficult and less fun.
Also, I find that hopping rooftops is much safer than just running on the street.
I can see where the comparisons to Crackdown are... this game is almost exactly like Crackdown but with different powers. Makes me realize how much I love games that I can just sit down and play for just a brief stint, and still have fun.

Oh, Canada... I was wondering why Infamous was supposedly retailing for 70 bucks... good deal, though.

The Uncharted beta code should have been included inside your game. It was on a voucher slip above the manual. There should have also been a sticker on the outside of your game case.
If you preordered from Amazon, they also sent a code for a Home costume. If you preordered from Gamestop, they gave you a code for some Gigawatt Blades. If you preordered from Best Buy in store, they gave you a code to download the inFamous demo early.

Yeah, this news surfaced over the weekend on a couple of the Cdn bargain sites/forums. I'm definitely in on this deal. Got a $5 Best Buy RZ certificate coming my way, so I'll either blow it on this or on Ratchet and Clank Future: ToD when that reaches GH status.

I think he's talking about the first mission when everyone is trying to flee the island and you have to cross the bridge.

I just started this tonight and have a dumb question.
I'm on the bridge very early in the game and just took out the guards. It's obvious that I have to charge the box on the left side in order to proceed and that's exactly what I did....for a long time. The box doesn't charge at all. I had no problems charging the boxes when you try to fire up the TVs in the beginning.
What am I missing here?

I got my second unwanted and seemingly unearned "Evil" reward at the end of a mission. It was "Spy Drones", which I thought was a cool and unique mission. At the end I was told it made me slightly more evil and I have no idea why at all -- I did everything they asked.
I've just gotten to the point where citizens want to help me out during street fights. That is pretty cool, actually!

I returned my unopened copy of this game to Amazon yesterday. I have too many unplayed games stacked up as it is, and by the time I get around to playing this one, it will be available for much cheaper.

Re: inFAMOUS (PS3) Thread
So I just beat the game on Hero. Had a lot of fun. Stopped doing a bunch of the side missions halfway through and then went back to do them afterwards. After I get back to NYC and can play on a real TV (not this 25" thing I'm stuck with) I'll replay as a villain.
I also just sold my home costume code for $45. I'm being paid to play these games!

Re: inFAMOUS (PS3) Thread
it's crazy, right?!
there's still maybe 6 codes available on ebay (all auction though), some you'd just have to wait 36 hours for. but i guess if you want that home avatar costume right this second, $45 BIN is okay.

I don't understand the Save mechanic on this game. I gather it only auto-saves after a completed mission, right? When I did a manual save a few minutes after starting a new mission and came back to it later, it returned me to the start of the mission again.
If I'm not started up exactly where I was, it's hard to figure out what I was doing and why. And is there some sort of "mission objective" menu to check? (I have yet to find one) Or is it always about following the Blue arrow on the GPS?
Apparently, I confuse easily.

Re: inFAMOUS (PS3) Thread
It is a little confusing. Like someone else on here, I started the game and did what I thought was the first mission (getting the supplies down), saved, and stopped, and when I resumed I had to sit through the entire intro again.
I assume saves work like deaths... it saves the shards you collected and the exp. points you got up until the point you save, but then when you resume it puts you either at the beginning of your last mission, or at the nearest hospital.

InFamous becomes fastest selling new exclusive IP on PS3 Posted on June 11, 2009 by Nick
Sucker Punch's newest PS3 exclusive, inFamous, made it's retail debut two weeks ago on May 26. On top of a surprisingly decent marketing campaign, which included a trailer prior to the summer blockbuster, Terminator Salvation, and several TV ads, the game sold 176,000 copies it's first week on the market. InFamous has set the bar for new IPs that are exclusive to the PS3 in the US, making a stronger first week debut than any other new IP before it. Following number come courtesy of VGChartz and NPD.
-InFamous(May, 2009) - 176,000 in it's first week
-Resistance(Nov.,2006) - 42K first week
-Motorstorm(March, 2007) - 107K first week
-Warhawk(August, 2007) - 70K first week(not including downloads)
-Lair(August, 2007) - 69K first week
-Heavenly Sword(Sept., 2007) - 75K first week, 130K first month
-Uncharted(Nov., 2007) - 32K first week, 117K first month sales(ed. note: ***?)
-Haze(May, 2008) - 91K first week, 102K first month
-LittleBigPlanet(October, 2008) - 110K first week(this one's a bit of a technicality, as GameStop started selling the game 2 days before release)
Of course, established IPs have sold quite a bit more in their first week. Metal Gear Solid 4 sold upwards of 400,000 units, while established first party IPs such as Killzone 2 and Resistance 2 both sold close to 300,000 units in their debut.
And if you aren't one of the nearly 200,000 PS3 owners who have picked up the game, then get off your ass and do so! The game has been received extremely well amongst critics(including a 9.3 from ourselves!). Voice of Truth, signing out!
