Free DLC
On Tuesday February 09 2010 Mass Effect 2 fans will be able to get the new Cerberus Assault Armor and M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun DLC fof free through the Cerberus network. It should be available for all fans, both on PC and Xbox 360 at 12:00pm Mountain Standard Time.
Cerberus Assault Armor
Cerberus assault armor is designed for shock troops, turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers.
Increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%
Increases shields by +10%
Increases health by +10%
M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun
The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries.

Nice. I'm glad they gave a longer range shottie to use since the ones in the game don't do crap. Struggling to kill 2-3 husks because one shot won't always kill or even knock one back is pretty annoying.

Yeah I know there's other/better ways to kill them but I miss how you could blow em apart in the first game with the shotgun.Originally Posted by pinata242

I found in this game, knocking them down was near impossible. The mechs, however, fell over like drunks on ice.

Yeah, the first game I used Shotgun a lot and quite efficiently. This game I didn't touch it.

I tried using them as a vanguard but they usually got me killed. Too many times with a guy closing in, if a headshot from close range didn't kill or knock them back, which it rarely did, they would keep shooting me before I could reload and try to aim at their face again. Even at close range it didn't seem to do enough damage.Originally Posted by foxdvd

I think it has to do with the very first time you talk to her and whether or not you tell her to keep it professional.Originally Posted by nickdawgy

I'll probably just start a new game with my ME1 save again, and just go Paragon the whole way. Won't be for awhile though. Maybe after some more DLC.

New Mass Effect Coming In 2011

New Mass Effect Coming In 2011
EA Says “Something Far-Reaching” Coming From Mass Effect in 2011
February 9, 2010 - BioWare and EA have “something far-reaching” planned for Mass Effect in early 2011. During yesterdays investor conference call following the release of their 3rd Quarter 2010 Fiscal Results, EA announced that BioWare would be helming a new Dragon Age title as well as the aforementioned Mass Effect outing.
The Mass Effect title is scheduled to arrive in the 4th Quarter of the company’s 2011 fiscal year. The 4th Quarter of the 2011 fiscal year encompasses the time between January 1 and March 31.
BioWare has already indicated that they want to “make Mass Effect 3 a fairly short turnaround.” Could the new title be Mass Effect 3? An early 2011 release date would be a quick turnaround indeed, taking only a year to produce. It may also be one of the titles that EA and BioWare have promised that will extend beyond Commander Shepard’s story and into the Mass Effect universe.
The speculation about what the Mass Effect title will be could very well be endless. It could be additional Mass Effect 2 content, it could also be a PlayStation 3 port of the first two games in the series — which could be defined as “far-reaching” because of the audience it would pull in for the series — or it could be an entirely new IP set in the Mass Effect universe. The possibilities are endless.

The production team said Christmas 2011 was when they expected the ME3 release, so I doubt it's that

My highest save in Mass Effect 1 is level 58. Does anyone know what more do you get for 60? It's not really hard for me to get 60, I think I'm even most of the way, but since some of the decisions carry over I'd end up doing a lot of the content rather than just racing through everything as I think was doing by the time I finished.
I've finished 2 once, but importing a Mass Effect 2 save doesn't let you change classes like an ME1 import (and you lose the Paragon/Renegade bump), and it's boring to me playing the same class again.

you'll get the achievement points in Mass Effect 1 for reaching level 60. That's all I can think of.

Before I even read the article, the first thing that came to mind was they're probably announcing a PS3 version.Originally Posted by MrX

That can't be right. I just imported my 58 again and got 300000 credits (plus I got to choose a bonus talent just like if I imported a ME2 character, which I didn't get to do the first time I imported him).
I might still level up to 60 since I think starting at level 5 I could possibly just get up to 30 in one playthrough (I was a bit over 28 the first time through). The minerals doesn't matter too much since I think I'll find stuff a lot faster the second time through, but a bit more would be nice.

Yeah, I just imported a second ME1 character (although only level 47) and got the talent bonus as well. A pleasant surprise. I also think I got a lot more minerals, but I'll need to go back and check.

You definitely get a Level 5 instead of a Level 2 character. Not sure about the other credit/resource differences.
