Re: Mass Effect 2 - 360 and PC
Along the lines of this discussion, I haven't started ME2 yet, but for those of you that have played, is it worth it for me to go back and take my level 50 ME1 character for a 2nd playthrough to get to level 60? I see the experience and credits additions listed above, but will it make my playthrough more enjoyable?

I don't think so, no. It only really helps in the race to the Level 30 cap on 1 playthrough.
But you do, obviously, get to start out with more skill points to spend in the beginning. The enemies scale to your level, so you're not going to power through the beginning or anything.

My imported character was at level 48 and was just fine. If you played as a paragon, making sure your meter was full would be the only thing I'd worry about since there are missions where having the paragon option in the conversation can determine whether or not the characters will be loyal to you.

I'm going to start a renegade playthrough. Is it possible to play it renegade and still have everyone loyal to you?

I wish you could name your saves! I went back and redid a mission so I could use a different convo option. between the autosaves and my saves, I keep trying to reload the wrong one, since based on the save times, they are within a minute or so lol

I figured that out the hard way, imported a level 28 who was 29 by the first planet, and went in not using any cover since I figured I'd just mop floor with those guys. Turned out I was the mop.

So yeah, my 2nd import of a different ME1 character resulted in me starting with 52,500 of each element and 320000 credits, along with the talent I got to choose.

Well, I feel completely retarded. I've been frustrated because two save files showed up but I couldn't import the second one...well the damn thumbstick doesn't work to move down, you have to use the D-Pad.
On the off chance there may be other mentally challenged people that were having the same issue...

can't believe how easy this game is. It is even easier than ME1 and ME1 was not exactly hard either. I've been playing Vanguard so maybe this class is overpowered? My strategy is to use Overload/Concussive shot to take out their shield/armour (if they have any) and then I just stay in cover and spam those bowling balls (shock). Shock is overpowered IMO. it goes thru all obstacles so you don't need a line of sight. Manytimes i do not even fire off a shot from my gun.

This game looks amazing and this has probably been answered but I don't want to dig through 30+ pages. Do I need to play the first on to get into this one?
Thanks
